in which nishimura ayame is struggling with her mental health and home life and yang jungwon tries to help her but nothing could ever go right for...
ayame was sat at her desk, writing something down on pieces of paper.
riki knocked on the door and immediately she covered the paper with her notebook. she turned in her chair and smiled, "hey ayame"
"hello riki" she responded, "do you need something?"
"uhm..do you have..by any chance..30,000 won?" he mumbled and she raised an eyebrow
"30,000 won?" she repeated and he nodded, timidly, "for what?"
"i need to buy a gift for my friend's birthday but i only have 10,000 won right now" riki explained
she just nodded before grabbing her wallet out of her backpack and took out 30,000 won, handing it to him, "here you go. keep whatever change you have left"
riki smiled widely before grabbing it and hugging her tightly, "thank you ayame!"
ayame patted his back, pulling away, "you're welcome"
riki then left her room, closing her door. she took her notebook off of her paper that she was writing and let out a big sigh before continuing to write

the winter festival finally came. the school halls were decorated with winter colors and there were many booths and games around for the students to enjoy
jungwon waited at the entrance with hyunjin for his friends to arrive.
"is ayame coming?" hyunjin then asked
jungwon nodded, "she told me she would come so"
"hey jungwon!" a voice shouted and he recognized the voice as sunoo
"hey guys!" jungwon waved at the three boys
the three finally got closer and recognized the girl next to him, "ayy is this the girl that you've been talking about a lot?" jay spoke
this caused jungwon and hyunjin to both blush, "shut up" jungwon cleared his throat
"anyways.." hyunjin chuckled, "i'm hyunjin"
"i'm sunoo and that's heeseung and jay" sunoo introduced them as they all waved at her
"where's the other girl?" heeseung then questioned as he didn't know the name of ayame
"oh right! ayame. didn't you say she was coming?" jay questioned
"she said she was but she hasn't responded to my text yet. she'll probably just come later"
"alright. let's go then. i didn't attend any festivals that my school did"
"because you were too busy studying and flirting with girls" sunoo scoffed and heeseung rolled his eyes while the others chuckled, walking into the school to go enjoy their time

some time had past and ayame had yet to show up which was worrying jungwon.
"uhm i'll be right back" he excused himself from his friends and girlfriend, walking away into the building and into an empty classroom.
he texts were left on delivered and she hadn't sent, "i thought she called off today for work.."
he then pressed her contact and called her.
it rung a few times but no one answered.
JUNGWON: are you okay ayame? seen
AYAME: yah im at work. i couldn't call off
JUNGWON: what time do you get off at?
AYAME: 8
JUNGWON: i mean the festival ends at 11 so you still have time to make it if you can of course!
AYAME: we'll see what happens i'll text if i can't go. just enjoy yourselves for now
JUNGWON: okayy ttyl seen
jungwon put his phone in his pocket and sighed. he was worried for her but she had given him the reason as to why she wasn't there so why was he so worried?
he shook his head of the worries before heading back out to where he saw jay and heeseung going against each other in a small booth game where there were two basketball nets to see who would make the most points in 3 minutes.
the time was at 2 minutes as jungwon came back and wrapped his arm around hyunjin's shoulder. she jumped and looked to her right and saw jungwon, "you scared me"
"whoops sorry" he chuckled
"did you call ayame?" she asked
he nodded, "she's at work and wasn't able to call off. she said she'll join us later if she can"
the timer was now at 1 minute and heeseung was like 25 points with jay at 23. heeseung kept missing his shots to get to 26 points and jay had finally made it to 25 with 20 seconds left.
with the two missing their final shots and the timer being at 10 seconds now, jay, not wanting to be a loser, hit the basketball out of heeseung's hand before throwing his in and landing him at 26 points that made him the winner
"yah! that was so unfair!" heeseung exclaimed at him
"wasn't in the rules so" jay responded as the student running the booth handing him a small teddy bear as a prize
"should be mine.." heeseung muttered, crossing his arms
"you're being immature for a college student" sunoo rolled his eyes before his eyes caught sight of a student booth that was giving away giant fox stuff animals, "look at that fox! oh my god! it's so cute!"
"yah i'm immature for a college student" heeseung rolled his eyes before sunoo gripped onto his wrist, dragging him to the booth with the three friends following him
