the two siblings waited separately in their rooms for the other pair of siblings to come out of the bathrooms.
ayame was the first to come out of the bathroom, her back still stinging in pain but she didn't bother to tell haewon about it.
"hey" haewon spoke, "come over here"
ayame slowly walked over to haewon's bed and just stood there
"girl, sit down. i'm not going to kill you" haewon joked but ayame didn't say anything and just sat down on her bed
haewon grabbed the towel from ayame's hand, "can i dry your hair for you?" ayame hesitated for a few seconds before nodding. haewon smiled and began drying her hair with the towel
"you're close with jungwon right?" haewon started a conversation
"uhrm..i guess?" ayame responded
"makes sense though. jungwon is so sociable with people. he has so many friends. he was so popular at his old high school and im sure he's popular at your school"
ayame nodded, "he is.."
while the two girls were talking, riki came out of jungwon's bathroom.
before jungwon could speak, riki did, "where's ayame?"
"she's with my sister rik-"
"niki" riki corrected him
"-niki..she's with my sister. come over here" riki stood in place for a few seconds before walking over to jungwon and standing in front of him, "i know you might not trust me and i understand that but can you tell me why you guys are here? at 2 in the morning? were you guys just wondering in the rain?"
riki stayed silent though, he didn't want to answer.
"ri-niki" he corrected himself, "i care for your sister and you okay? i don't know you that well, but i know ayame and i care for her and i know how much she loves you. can i know what happened..please?"
now riki was hesitant, "i-i can't.."
"why?"
before riki could respond, riki's stomach did. riki had barely eaten the whole day and the one time he was about to eat, his father disturbed him
jungwon didn't question him and instead just told him to follow him. they walked down the hallway where jungwon knocked on haewon's door.
"come in" jungwon opened the door and saw haewon drying ayame's hair, "need something?"
"ayame's brother is hungry. ayame are you?"
"uhm..not really"
"you didn't eat all day ayame" riki then intervened and that's when jungwon realized that riki doesn't know about her eating disorder
"yes she did!" jungwon nervously spoke, "i saw her eat at school"
haewon noticed jungwon's weird and nervous voice and she could feel ayame shaking under her.
that's when haewon realized the friend that jungwon had made and researched about bulimia for was ayame. the girl was struggling with an eating disorder and her brother didn't know
"oh..okay" riki nodded
"mom warmed up leftover food from dinner so riki can have some of that. we'll come down in a second" haewon spoke and jungwon just nodded before closing the door
haewon didn't want to mention anything to ayame because she didn't want to make her anymore uncomfortable, "alright your hair is decently dried" haewon got up from bed, "let's go downstairs and join our brothers"
