"Jess!" Lydia shouted from across the car park.

"Oh my god, Lydia! How are you?" Jess screamed as she ran across the parking lot to her friend. "I was gonna come over later I didn't think you'd come back yet!"

"Please, do you really think people's opinions would bother me?"

"Alright..." Jess responded uncertainly as Allison grabbed her bag from the car.

"She's been like this all the way to school." Allison stated before turning her attention to the redhead as they walked up the steps. "So you really don't remember anything?"

"They called it a 'fugue state' which is basically a way of saying, 'We have no idea why you can't remember running through the woods naked for two days.' but personally, I don't care. I lost 9 pounds." Lydia answered with slight jazz hands and angled her body to emphasise her point as they reached the door.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Jess asked putting her hand on Lydia's as the redhead reached for the door.

"Please, it's not like my aunt's a serial killer." Lydia responded, smirking at Allison as she opened the door. The 3 girls walked in and all eyes turned to them as silence fell upon the hallway. Jess and Allison looked at each other nervously before checking on their friend.

"Maybe it's the nine pounds?" Allison suggested. Lydia glared at her slightly before fixing her hair, taking a deep breath and strutting off. "She's gonna be okay, right?"

"I don't know... Keep an eye on her, Alli?"

"Of course."

"I've gotta go meet Charlotte, are you gonna be okay?"

"Yeah I'll be fine."

"Allison. Seriously, if you need anything at all, you text me."

"Thanks, Jess, I will."

                                                                                                     ~~~~~~
"God, today is so weird!" Jess groaned as she leaned against the lockers next to Charlotte's.
"What's wrong, baby?"
"It's just a weird day."
"Fighting with mystery man again?"
"Yeah but everyone started at Lydia, Allison and I when we came in today."
"Oh yeah everyone's posting about Lydia being back, how is she? She seemed herself over text." Charlotte asked with concern.
"She's acting as though nothing happened. She did make a badass entrance though."
"That's my girl!" Charlotte laughed. "So mystery man, what happened?"
"It's nothing, really. How are you feeling with Ri-"
"Don't finish that question." The blonde interrupted. "I'm avoiding him."
"I'm really sorry, Char. I've never seen him with her before."
"How the hell are you always so positive? Fights with the boyfriend, missing friends, absent parents... You're so positive!"'
Jess tensed slightly, feeling uncomfortable about not having told her best friend about her parents. "I'm not always like this, Char, trust me... I should go, I need to get to class."
                                                                                ~~~~~~

Jessica had been studying in the library when she heard a load of commotion from outside on the field. Knowing that tonight was a full moon and Scott was on the field, Jess abandoned her things and ran onto the field.
