"Accha hua sahi waqt par Binoy ne rok liya. Warna sab barbaad ho jaata", sighed Trilochan as he, Binoy, Shonjoy and Sumati entered Binoy's office.
"Lochan Da aap itne laparwah kaise ho sakte hain!", scolded Shonjoy.
"Arre jaan bujh ke thodi kiya tha! Galati se munh se nikal gaya", muttered Trilochan.
"Aapke issi galati ki wajah se unn chaaron ki zindagi barbaad ho chuki hoti", said Binoy.
"Aur Anirudh ko kaun nahi jaanta! Apne fitoor mein aake kuch bhi karenga woh", said Shonjoy.
"Jo ho gaya so ho gaya. Abb sochna hai ki aage kya karna hai", said Sumati adjusting her veil.
"Unn charon mein se kisiko bhi ateet ke baare mein pata nahi chalna chahiye", said Binoy, fear clearly visible in his eyes.
"Kyunki agar unhe pata chala toh chaaro ke chaaron toot padenge", said Shonjoy.
"Aur sabse pehle Jamai Babu ka dil tootega!", exclaimed Sumati.
"Kaash uss din woh sab hua hi na hota", muttered Trilochan, as he reminisced that bitter sweet past.
Flashback
"Badhaai ho Barrister Babu! Ghar mein Laxmi aayi hai!", declared Dai Maa, as she handed over the little baby girl in Arvind's hands. He took her as gently as he was holding a delicate flower.
Shubhra, Shobhagyaboti and Rudranshi rushed inside to look after a tired and exhausted Sumati.
"Poore do pidhiyon ke baad Das khandaan mein beti huyi hai! ", exclaimed Kalindi. Tears flowed down her cheeks.
"Han Kalindi! Bilkul sahi kaha tumne", said Rabindra as tears accumulated in his eyes, but he didn't allow them to flow down.
Rabindra didn't have any sister. He only had one younger brother, who died in a car accident. Same goes with his three sons. But they never felt the lack of sister's love because of Shubhra. She was their little sister. And she too never lefts a chance to show her sisterly tantrums to them.
"Bilkul phool si khili hai humaari bacchi! Dekho toh kaise has rahi hai!", exclaimed Trilochan playfully as he stood near Arvind.
"Lochan Da! Aaj mera ek sapna poora ho gaya! Meri beti-", he stopped suddenly. His face turned paler.
"D..Da! Baba! Sumati! Sumati se milna hai", he muttered and started sobbing.
"Jayiye mil lijiye unse Dada", said Shobhagyabati as the three came out of the room. Arvind gave the baby in Binoy's arms and rushed into the room.
"Boudi kaisi hain abb?", asked Shaumik.
"Thik hain woh. Bas thodi thakaan hai. Woh bhi dur ho jayegi", replied Rudranshi.
"Bacchi ko mere paas dijiye", said Shubhra and forwarded her hands. Binoy smiled and kept the baby in her hands.
"Kitni pyaari hai na", muttered Shohagyaboti as she carressed the baby's cheeks.
"Hmm! Gaal bilkul roshogulle ki tarah hai! Phula hua", said Rudranshi playfully.
"Humaari hi nazar na lag jaaye bacchi ko", whispered Shubhra and placed a kohl dot on her head and back of her ear.
"Bacchi ko Boudi ke paas le jaao Shubhra", said Amitabh. Shubhra nodded and they went inside.
"Baba. Mein Panditji se baat kar leta hoon. Chate(6th) din Naamkaran ki rasam hogi", said Amitabh. Rabindra nodded giving his consent. Shaumik, Amitabh and Binoy left for the preparations.
