Let there be scars, let them hurt, let them heal.

I watch Rune watching Martina like she's the only thing that matters.

I sat down opposite Elvis in his shrewd little office beside my companions, Rune, Martina and Sade. We awaited his wisdom like we usually did but all he could do was stare at the empty chair beside me.

"And where is Blythe?" He asks, his voice deep and authoritative,

"You know that things are...different now Elvis." Martina excuses raising a hand to speak, "she doesn't take kindly to our purpose anymore."

"If we really think about it when did she ever want to be involved?" Rune mumbles and Martina smacks his shoulder.

"Don't be crude Rune." She scolds and he rolls his eyes,

"I'm just saying what we're all thinking, we all know she never truly wanted in. She was only ever here because of Klaus." Rune scoffs defending himself in his usual fire-starting manner,

"Oh shut up Rune you know she wanted to be here." Sade interjected folding her arms, "she simply just wasn't willing to fight and take the risks like the rest of us-"

"She fought." I dictate raising a hand to stop her before she says something she'll regret, "say all you want about Blythe Singh but never ever say she didn't fight."

"She said she wants nothing to do with it anymore, can't we just respect that?" Sade sighs placing her head in her hands.

"Children!" Elvis interrupted, "let us not lose sight of the mission, let us not be blinded by trivial emotions. I selected every one of you into Marx house for a reason. Rune, your quick wits and intelligence in computing. Martina your sleuthing skills, Sade your ability to get whatever we need without being seen. Niklaus, your mind alone is our greatest weapon, but that doesn't mean that you go without your faults."
