After breakfast Lena and I get on with our usually Saturday morning routine
I stripped all the linen off all the beds
including the pillow cases, towels and wash cloths. I carry all the laundry down the basement and separate the clothes, while Lena cleans the whole house. We take turns with the house whole chores, now if the kids were here. We wouldn't be able to get anything done, l put the first load in the washer machine. We recently purchased a brand new washer and dryer, the old one died. We had the guy come in and install it in the basement, it looks better in the cellar
We've done a lot of upgrades over the years. We got new flooring put down in the kitchen, as new cabinets
Everything else was fine. I'm happy with the improvements, l head upstairs while the clothes are in the washing machine. And help Lena out
I see she mop the kitchen floors
I decided to vacuum the living room
Stef goes into the hallway closet and take out the vacuuming cleaner and plug it up. Then vacuum up all the spots that need to clean, once l'm done. I unplugged the vacuum and put back up, and go up the steps
Who knew cleaning would be so exhausting. I go into the bedroom to find Lena knocked out asleep, she has very low energy these days. I covered her up with a thin blanket, l lean in and kiss her on the head. She opens her eyes. Sorry baby I didn't mean to disturb you, Stef says. I came up here to finish up and then l got tired all of sudden, Damn l hate this l can't even manage to get anything done my body won't allow me to do a few simple tasks around the house. Lena said
Babe please don't beat yourself up about it, we'll get everything taken of
I vacuum the living room. How about this, l'll do the kids rooms bathroom
Hallway and you can do our room
En suite. Stef replies, what about the Laundry, honey l can't let you do all that. Lena says to me, baby your tired
Take a nap, l have everything under control. If your feeling up to it later
We can go for a drive somewhere and get some ice cream, Stef replied
