The medical helicopter just arrived at the hospital. The EMT guys were getting me all set up on the stretcher
They made sure l was securely strapped in safely, Stef and I said our goodbyes. She kissed me and told me she'll see me soon, they loaded up on the helicopter. I was beginning to feel little nauseous from my treatment earlier, Stef has my prescription from Dr. Sinclair. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, everything is finally catching up to me. These few days have been crazy, l'm happy to be heading back to San Diego California
Hopefully l'll get to see my kids. Stef said she would call my dad, to inform him. That they were discharging me
I was on my way back. I hear people talking in the background saying
All systems are ready for take off
It's going to take Stef two hours to get back. It probably will be an hour for us, because planes and helicopters are faster than cars, lunch today was
Vegetable soup with crackers and a bottle of water to drink. Food is starting to taste funny, l'm not sure it's from the chemo. Meggie said she would come down for the weekend and visit, cause her parents leave in San Diego. There is something very familiar about her, l just can't put my finger on it. Where twenty five hundred feet, Lindsay the med tech is in the back with me. I feel like I'm going to throw up, l've never been nauseated like this before. It's the effects from the chemo, here l am thinking l wouldn't get sick. Lindsay saw the look on my face, she moved the trash can over towards the stretcher. I begin gagging non stop for twenty minutes, l felt embarrassed
Are you alright Lindsay asks me
Not really l replied to Lindsay.
Hey it happens, it's nothing to be ashamed about. Lindsay tells me

Lena's on her way back to San Diego on the helicopter. I wasn't able to go with them, l promised her that I would call her father to give him an update. I dialed his number, the phone begins to ring. Hello Nathaniel says, hey Nathaniel it's Stef l was calling to let you know Lena's on her way back to San Diego. She should be there within the hour, Stef replied
Oh ok that's good news. What's the name of the place she'll be going to
I didn't write it down last time, he responded. It's called Nova medical center of San Diego, Stef explains
Do you know what floor she's gonna be on. Nathaniel asks me, sorry l don't
I said to him, how's my baby girl doing. Nathaniel questions, l think everything is starting to hit her hurt hard. She has had three treatments so far, we already knew this wasn't going to be easy. We'll just have to be for her and support her, Stef responds
How have you been holding up
I know it's not easy watching your wife go through this cancer. Nathaniel
Asked me, Nathaniel can l be honest with you. I'm scared as hell, l hate seeing her so sick. After every session
The other night she went off on one of the nurses for coming in the room to check her vitals, Stef said. That sounds like Lena. She doesn't like hospitals to much, l remember she had to have her tonsils removed boy
She wasn't a happy camper. Lena cried like a baby, we weren't sure what to do. Till later the doctor explained, about people having a phobia of hospitals. Don't get me started on needles, Lena dislikes them with a passion. There's was one time
We took her to get her annual physical for school, she saw the needle and begin screaming at the top of her lungs. They had to give her something to help Lena relax,
I know Abigail gets under Lena's skin
At times, I tried not infer in their relationship. I always wondered why Lena never wanted to come home on holidays, but it dawned on me
Lena wasn't trying to get away from me. It was just that Abigail had high expectations for Lena, that's why Abigail pushes her so hard. Abigail can be a little strict, Abigail's mother was the same way towards her growing up. Nathaniel explains
It hurts Lena when Abigail's always making certain comments about Lena's weight and hair. That night of your dinner party, Abigail wanted Lena to play the piano. That's why we left early, l see the way she pushes herself. Sometimes Lena feels like
If she makes a mistake she'll be letting
You guys down, she struggles to be the best in everything she does. Because Abigail put so much pressure on her growing up, l saw for myself when we lived in London. She would play the piano from sun up to sun down, Abigail's views and opinions matter to Lena, Stef Stated. I never knew Lena felt that way. Me and Lena have a special kinda bond, she would always come and talk. I didn't know she was dealing with that, l never realized Abigail causing Lena so much pain
Nathaniel tells Stef.  How could you not know, Stef States. She's my daughter. I should have put a stop to it, before things got out of hand
Nathaniel says sadly, it's nothing you did. It's just probably Abigail didn't want you to know, how she was treating Lena. Stef said, Abigail was supposed to have came back yesterday from that conference in California. Hopefully she'll be back today, things between us haven't been the same the last few months. I feel like we're drifting apart, Nathaniel tells me. I'm sorry your going through that, l spoke with her earlier and she told me. She would be flying out
Stef inform Nathaniel, that's good
