Lena just got back from having a chest x-ray. It seems as if the antibiotics were working, but she wasn't quite out of the woods just yet
The nurse took a bunch of blood from her arm. Lena felt like a pen cushion
She was a little weak from being poke four times, today wasn't a good day for Lena. She wasn't in the mood for visitors, except for her wife. Morgan the morning nurse came in to check her vitals. The doctor said as soon as she gets the results, she'll be down to talk to Lena. Lena wished Stef was here, to offer words of encouragement. Lena understood
There's a knock on her room door
Come in Lena said, hi Lena Maggie said. Lena didn't expect to see Maggie
It's been months since they heard from the young woman. Forgive me if I don't get up, l'm kinda surprised your even here Lena says to Maggie
Lena l owe you and Stef a huge apology. I've been going through a lot
And I know that's not excuse for not reaching out, when I find out you were sick. I had to see you right away
Maggie takes a seat across from Lena's bed, Lena just listens to Maggie talk
Maggie if your here out of pity you minds as well leave now. How can just come into our home and steal from us, we thought you were different Maggie. I don't know if l'll be able to trust you after that, l defend you to my wife telling her it was honest mistake. Come on Maggie tooth brushes really, your a smart young woman. What could you do with toothbrushes, Lena asks
I apologize for what I did. I know you don't believe me, but I have legitimate explanation. Recently l find out l was adopted, l took the toothbrushes
to find out if we were sisters or not
I just got the test results a few days ago. From the Lab, we shared the same blood type and l found my birth mother. Maggie states, that doesn't mean anything there's dozens of people, that have the same blood type
That doesn't mean their related
I don't know Maggie what do you want me to say. I'm kinda loss for words right now, it's been a rough morning for me. Lena said, is there anything I can do help Maggie asked
The young woman feels bad for what she did to her New friend, can you tell the nurse at the nurses station my chest hurts please. Lena asks Maggie
Maggie gets up to go get the nurse
Lena was trying to catch her breathe
Morgan came rushing in, Lena what's wrong. Morgan said my chest hurts it's feels like somebody squeezing it tight, Lena explains. Lena we might need to put you back on the oxygen machine, to help you breathe a little better. Morgan replied, Morgan gets the equipment for Lena so she could breathe easily, Morgan puts the tubes under Lena's nose. I'm gonna see if I can get some more prednisone, do you want that young woman to come back in. Morgan asks, no Lena replies
Morgan had to respect Lena's wishes
After Morgan got Lena settled
She leaves the room to go put in a call to Lena's doctor. Maggie peek's through the window of Lena's room
Maggie feels bad for getting Lena work up, it wasn't her intention to cause her any Stress. Lena's doctor enters the room, Mrs Adams Foster
I've gotten the results from your chest x-ray. You have bronchitis Dr. Sinclair says, l don't smoke cigarettes Lena replied. It's when the chest muscles tighten up, it causes people to have trouble breathing it's treatable
Sometimes it can be mistaken for a cold. We may need to up your dose on the prednisone, when your feeling better. We can restart your chemotherapy again, l would like to keep you here a little longer just to monitor your breathing the older woman. Tells Lena, l'll have the nurse bring your medicine in shortly Dr. Sinclair says.
