As soon as Stef called and told me
Lena was being transported to Nova medical center of San Diego. The kids were out with their nanny Kathleen
I texted her to let her know that l needed to run an errand and l'll be back in a few hours. Abby should be on her way, l jumped in the car and headed to the hospital. I'm willing to do what I have to do for my baby girl
I'm just thinking back to the conversation l had with Stef a few hours ago about Abby and Lena s relationship. I didn't realize how much Lena was hurting inside
Abby can be a little insensitive at times, Abby and I haven't been on the same page in a while. I don't wanna put salt on old wounds, ever since we found out about Lena's illness
Abby refused to visit Lena in the hospital. I suggested marriage counseling, she shot that idea down
I pulled into the hospital parking lot
And exit the vehicle. And walked in the building, l went over to patient services. Yes can you tell me what
room is Lena Adams Foster is in please, l asked the woman
She's looking it up in the computer
I wait patiently. Yes she just arrived
They'll getting her assess, she's on the third floor room number is 356
You'll have to take the south wing elevators. If you go straight through those double doors and you're see the elevators on your left. She said
Thank you l appreciate it, l Tell her
I follow her directions and head down the hall. And made a left, that's when l spotted the elevators. I pressed the button, as I stand there waiting
So many thoughts rushed through my mind. The doors open up and l stepped on, l tapped three.
It goes up a few levels and l'm finally on the third floor. All of sudden my hands feel clammy, as l walk down the long hall. I don't know why
I'm suddenly feeling anxious about seeing my daughter, l'm standing in front of her room. I knocked on the door, before going in, she hasn't been brought up yet. The woman at the nurses station tell me, is it alright if I go in and wait for her to come up
I say to the nice nurse. Sure go ahead
She replies, l went on in took a seat over in the corner. I'll use this time
to get my bearings together, before she gets here. I don't wanna make Lena feel subconscious, l remember what Stef said. Lena needing our support, and not treat her like a sick person. She's still my beautiful daughter, l haven't seen her in a couple of days. I hear coming in the room, l turn around to see Lena being wheeled in on a stretcher. She looks the same as always, how is doing l implied. She's ok at the moment
But l need to check her vitals
The lady explained, Dr. Watts should be in shortly. She's making her rounds
The woman, informs me
