Part sixteen.

After the insightful conversation I had with Ivan in the driveway, I shut the door to his car, gave a small wave and turned on my heel back inside
Mom was waiting for me at the door, I tried walking past her but she yanked me back,and immediately my stomach hit the side table
I looked up at her " I didn't mean to, it was an accident, I swear...." I didn't let her continue
I just ran upstairs and locked my self In, knowing that the door separated and protected me from her was calming.

I rushed to the bathroom, the hamburger I had eaten was coming back up
I threw up in the toilet,I was a heaving mess when I finished.
My body had begun to reject food again. With a tired sigh
I brushed my teeth and crawled back to bed
I took a moment to reminisce my day, it was too good to be true
Ivan caring about me, he was gentle yet intimidating, his gentle yet intense piercing citrine eyes focused on me
He was so attentive and insightful, he would have seen me blush a,thousand times in the car if it wasn't for the dark sky and my light brown skin

I brought my hoodie to my nose and inhaled his woodsy crisp nicotine smell
It was a contrast but it was home.
I smiled when I thought of him yet I ached when I knew he was Analise's boyfriend
Not wanting to go into that, I crushed two sleeping pills in my mouth
I didn't even cringe at the bitter taste anymore, I had finally gotten used to it or my tongue had finally gotten numb.
I cuddled further into my pillow and let my self get plunged into the land of dreams and nightmares

I woke up today, feeling a bit lighter than normal
I did my morning routine and went downstairs to make my lunch, I wouldn't ever have mom do it
As I was pouring the smoothie into a bottle, I heard mom's footsteps
"Lotus" I ignored, my resolve was crumbling, i wanted to hug her
"Lotus" she called harshly while slamming the fridge beside me, making me flinch
"I apologise for having you find out this way, but I would not apologise for loving Devan"
Ah the name of the mysterious lover is Devan
I looked at her dead in the eye "How on earth could you wake up everyday and pretend
How could you look at dad everyday and lie to his face
How could you look me in the eye and made me think dad was bad
Everytime he called you a cheater, I defended you
Had I known it was the truth. You manipulated me
You made think he was evil, but you are, he had just been buried mother and you defiled his memory
You've been defiling his bed even before he died
He never tore us apart, you did
He never cheated, you did moth..." before I could continue she slapped me hard
I got a whiplash with how fast my head snapped back.
My glasses fell to the floor due to impact
I looked at her face as it was contorted with guilt.

My eyes were glassy due to tears, I stared at her wide eyed
A couple tears had slid down my face
"Lotus I.. ii" I shoved her away, picked My glasses and bag and ran out the door
I walked and cried all the way to school, my eyes were red and blotchy from crying, my throat was scratchy and my cheek stung
I walked down the hallway and I felt the stares of my peers, I had gotten a lot while walking to my locker

I was putting my things in the locker, when it slammed shut, missing my hand by a few inches.
I stared at The culprit Analise wide eyed
"So crazy, are you fit to be in public now, I suppose you are a danger to us "  I looked at her confused
She faked gasped " where are my manners moon beam, I meant to ask how were your days in clearminds mental institution." I immediately paled
She thrust her phone into my hand and I saw a video of myself rocking back and forth on the cold wooden floor chanting No over and over again.

I was white as a paper,Aurelia kept her promise.
I ran away from the hallway as fast as I could
I wanted to leave school but I couldn't, I had nowhere to go
I couldn't go home, in the end, I chose the latter
I stayed in school, I kept my head down as I heard them call me insane
Malvolio and Ivan weren't in school atleast I thought so
How I managed to get through classes was a miracle.
All the name calling was certainly going to do me damage but I pressed on I was going to give them the Satisfaction of seeing me hurt.

My ribs hurt from last nights shoving and today's own
A jock had pushed me harshly into a locker and for some funny reason it only amused spectators
When my nose bled, I covered it and ran to the bathroom
My lunch was coming back up again, my stomach was rejecting and not digesting food once again
By the time I was done, the toilet bowl was bloody
My hair had traces of red in them, I sat there for a couple of minutes before flushing and cleaning up

I walked out of the bathroom as though nothing had happened.
Although I had blood on the uniform, I walked over to my locker and saw Aurelia leaning on it
I sighed and tried to walk away before she called but luck was not on my side, she called my loudly.
I was sure the whole school knew about me
She smiled sweetly and whispered in a low voice " I hope you learnt your lesson" she smiled once more before loudly saying "you have blood all over you" the whole hallway had heard her
She had ruined what ever shred of pride I had left and with that I picked my things and ran into the pouring rain
My chest burned, I knew I was going to catch a cold but I kept walking aimlessly until my feet carried me to the graveyard
I found whom I came to visit, I saw his headstone
The flowers were dried up, mom promised to always change them
But she didn't, like many other promises she broke to my father, she broke this one too

My knees crumbled and I fell knee first on the cemented ground
I cried in the rain, my tears were mixed with the rain
I didn't know where my tears began and where the rain ended
I just sat on my knees letting the rain batter me
I thought the rain had stopped when I no longer felt the pouring rain on my head
I saw a silhouette beside holding up a matte black Umbrella
My snowline eyes snapped up and I met his citrine ones
"Ivan"
"Lotus ".
