Chapter 36: Lies

You wake up again a couple hours later. You sit up and look around. The room is dark. You get and stretch then go to the bathroom. You decide to go downstairs to get something to eat. You enter the kitchen and the thought to check your purse crosses your mind. You look through it searching for the pill bottle. You whisper under your breathe.
You: Damn it
Sora: Everything okay babe
You: Yeah...yeah i'm just look for the um pills that you asked about earlier
Sora: I flushed them
He takes a sip of his drink
You: you what...?
Sora: I flushed them, i figured you took them from Lucci for a reason and there's no sense in having them laying around the house
You: Okay but Lucci doesn't know I took them if she finds out she's gonna...you know what can you just stay out of my shit.
You run up the stairs and slam the door behind you and you can hear Sora's footsteps following you up the stairs. You change your clothes into something more presentable then grab your keys and your phone. You open the bedroom door and Sora is standing outside
Sora: Baby I didnt realize it was such a big deal but i don't get why you're so-
You roll your eyes and push him out the way. You get your purse then get in your car. You call Baylee.
Baylee (otp): Hello
You (otp): How soon can you meet me
Baylee (otp): Like 10 minutes
You: (otp): Okay where?
Baylee (otp): That ally behind Walmart...why
You (otp): My boyfriend threw my shit away and i need more
Baylee (otp): Okay...10 minutes
You (otp): Yeah bye
You pull out of the driveway and your phone starts ringing. It's Jared so you pick up.
Jared: Come over
You: Why
Jared: I miss you
You: Jared we're not together...i cant...
Jared: Just for a little bit
You: I don't know, i'll think
You hang up and continue driving. When your arrive to meet Baylee he's not there so you wait a few more minutes and he arrives.
You: Goddamn, finally
Baylee: This bottle has 25 pills, $75 for it
You take some money out your bag and hand it to him. He takes it and hands you the pills and you guys part ways. Immediately after getting into the car, you take 2 of the pills. 15 minutes later you're surprised to find yourself at Jared's door.
You (in your head): What the fuck am i even doing??
You know on the door and he answers
Jared: Hey you actually decide-
Before he can finish you kiss him harshly on the lips. He kisses you back and lifts you up, closing and locking the door behind you. You moan into the kiss and wrap your legs around his waist while wrapping your arms around his neck. He walks over to the kitchen and places you on the counter still kissing you. He stops to pull your shirt off over your head and then goes back for more. Your mind goes back to Sora and how you don't wanna be a cheater. You begin to pull away.
You: Stop stop...
You get off the counter and put your shirt back on
Jared: What's the matter???
You: I just can't do this.
You grab your stuff and walk out his apartment, slamming the door behind you. Tears fall down your face and you run down the hall and to the elevator. Once you get out to your car you can feel yourself beginning to panic. Your chest gets tight and you can't breathe. You take deep breaths and then grab the pill bottle and take two more hoping that it will make you feel better...
