Grounded

Walling down the halls I finally get to the training room. I lean on the doorframe looking at Steve box.

"Got quite of a punch captain." I smile as he looks over at me.

"Y/n. Hey!" He smiles back. I walk in sitting on a bench in the room. He grabs his water bottle before sitting next to me. "How you holding up?" He asks grunting as he sits down.

"Shouldnt you be asking Kate that?" I chuckle.

"Yeah, but doesnt mean it doesnt hurt both sides of the story." He tells me. I nod sighing.

"She moved on quite quickly though."

"She didnt move on y/n. Shes just dealing with it her way." Steve says softly.

"They hooked up." I look at the floor. Steve furrows his eyebrows shocked. "Yep, the night I kissed Jenna too." I bit my lip.

"What?! Over a stupid kiss!" Steve stands up in disbelief.

"Maybe I deserve it steve." I stand up next to him.

"No y/n! You dont. It was just a dumb kiss. You wouldnt do it sober right?"

"No. Never in a million years." I reply.

"Exactly!" He sighs. "..what are you gonna do?"

"Probably just gonna give her sometime." He nods in response. "I have to go, I have something to do." A thought pops into my head.

"Okay, yeah. Go." He shooshes me off. I walk out to the training area down the tower walls. I stop at Peters room and knock.

"Come in!" I open the door and see peter laying on his bed.

"Hey, has my dad said anything about the new recruit yet?" I ask.

"Yeah, he said he'll be here tomorrow." Peter replies.

"Got it thanks." I reply shutting his door. I search for my dad all around the tower finding him in the kitchen.

"Yo dad." I walk towards him.

"Huh?" He turns around facing me.

"Who is the new recruit?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"See thats what your gonna have to find out, tomorrow!" Before I say a word he runs off to his lab. I sigh closing my eyes then open them when I feel someone tap my shoulder from behind.

"Hi." I turn around to see America holding two ice creams.

"Hi?" I smile at her confused.

"I got one for you, and your right nat is really nice." America hands me a ice cream scoop in a cup.

"Thank you." I smile. "Wheres nat anyway?" I take the ice cream getting a spoon.

"Oh, she went with Maria in her room." My eyes widen almost laughing.

"Lets go to my room, I have some video games we can play." She nods smiling at me and we walk off to my room.

Its been about 4 hours. Me and America did literally anything to keep us away from bordem. We played video games, board games like connect 4, uno, and cards. We also filmed a tiktok to taylor swifts song. Man I love her music. We had a danced party with my LED lights and made some lemon juice for steve. Now we're planning on going to target but I need to sneak out.

"Okay, my moms at a trip as of right now so maybe we can ask strange to portal us there since I dont have my keys?" I suggest.

"Good idea, but hes gonna say no!" America protests.
