Blind Date (II)

Jisoo was lying in bed, listening to music, when she heard a noise coming from her cell phone, right next to her. She saw the picture that was flashing on the screen and smiled instantly. It's been two weeks since she went on the blind date with Jennie, and they haven't stopped talking ever since.

"Hey, beautiful" Jisoo said, as she picked up the phone and heard a giggle at the other end of the line.

"Hey love, I was wondering... are you free tonight?"

"I'm always free for you!" Jisoo said.

"Cute. So, what do you think about that McDonald's date?"

Jisoo laughed, "I'm in! I'll pick you up at 8 pm"

Then she hung up the phone.

Jisoo got out of the car and leaned against the passenger's door, waiting for Jennie to come down the stairs, and as soon as she saw the younger one, her heart skipped a beat. Jennie was wearing a tight black, knee ripped jeans, a white cropped shirt – that showcase some of her belly, and a pair of converse. Jisoo came back from her daydream as soon as she saw the younger one, stumbling, she rushed to help and hold Jennie around the waist. Jennie grabbed Jisoo's neck and started laughing.

"I told you that you would get to know that side of me, eventually."

Jisoo laughed and helped Jennie get back to her feet. Still not letting go of her waist.

"Great entrance, beautiful." Jisoo winked and let out a laugh, as she noticed Jennie's face blushing.

"Jisoo, stop! I didn't want to leave that kind of impression, but that's who I am... a clumsy prat." Her voice was muffled, for she had hidden her face in Jisoo's neck.

Jennie turned her face back, to look into the older one's eyes. Jisoo gave her a sincere smile whilst their foreheads gently touched.

"I know and I like you just like that! Oh, and by the way, you look beautiful in this outfit." She whispered to Jennie, noticing that the younger one was staring at her mouth.

Jisoo drew closer to Jennie and gave her a kiss. It was a gentle and quick kiss, which left both of them smiling.

"God! That way I'm gonna want to skip McDonald's and take you to my house."

"Already? I didn't know you were so forward like that, Jennie Ruby Jane Kim." Jisoo raised an eyebrow and Jennie realized the double meaning her sentence had given.

"No! Oh my God, I didn't mean it like that, I meant, watch Netflix while we cuddle... see? I'm even clumsy with words. For god's sake, let's eat before I made more comments that could ruin me."

Whilst laughing, Jisoo opened the car door for her. The two of them went to McDonald's, placed their orders, and sat at a table outside the restaurant, near to the playground.

"So, Chu, how's college?"

"Good, we had to do an assignment this week, that left me with a horrible headache. But it's okay, I mean bags under your eyes and constant yawning are almost like, a college badge of honor, right?" Jennie chuckled and nodded.

"You're right! I can't believe it's already my senior year."

"Neither can I. The problem is after graduation tho, getting a job and getting settled in life, anyway how is it going with the volunteers, at the animal shelter?" Jisoo asked.

Jennie got so excited that she almost fell off her chair, which made Jisoo laugh, quite loudly, grabbing some people's attention.

"Wonderful! Today we took care of some puppies that were rescued of off the road, sad, I know but they are so cute, Jisoo you have to go there sometime. The thing is, I fell in love with them, and now I think I'll even adopt one." She looked at Jisoo and saw the older one with a playful smile on her face.
