Something is happening in the classroom. Or rather, two things she's observed has (Y/N) convinced of it.
First was Zack's sudden attitude change.
That guy, apparently he used to bully students almost everyday. But one day he just...stopped.
Mira only giggled when she mentioned this, and retold the story of how she and Zack went on a date, and he tried really hard to fulfill his promise of not fighting anyone.
He still failed, of course. Since he was a muscle-headed brute.
His lesson was that the bullied victims aren't really having as much of a good time as the bullies themselves were. So he decided to have a change of heart and not bully anymore.
The other change was from, as per usual, her brother dearest.
He's been coming home later than she does sometimes, and she's the one working a part-time job with only one body.
And if that's not obvious yet, she also hears the sound of someone belting from the ass-crack of dawn, to the middle of the night.
Times like this, (Y/N) is glad she owns a pair of earmuffs to plug her ears.
For ten days she had to sleep with hee ears plugged...
It made sense on the day the school festival came around. (Y/N) was rather abruptly told that a talent contest will be held at some point.
So that was why Daniel was practicing his ass off. He had to get better as soon as possible since that guy has never held a mic before.
Anyway, (Y/N) actually enjoyed the festival.
Here, there are no sticky boys and "friends" smiling fakely. Here, she had a grinning Zoe and an oddly enthusiastic Mira that decided to follow her for some reason.
"Let's go to the cafe next!"
"No."
"Huh?"
The two slowly turned to look at (Y/N), who had her gaze fixed somewhere rather intently. But what is it she was looking at?
It was the baking dept's stall.
"Do you smell that?" she asks.
"Uhm...?"
"Did they say bread and free coffee?" The girl was practically salivating as she sees the line of bread. "I haven't had breakfast this morning! And coffee too, I haven't had that in a while! Let's go, go, go!"
She ran off to the stall, buying the first one that catches her eye.
Mira and Zoe only exchanged amused looks behind her.
"That is probably the most enthusiastic I've seen of her."
"That's true."
By the time they approached, (Y/N) already started a tirade as to why they could've sold cookies instead for better sales. Because who in their right mind would dislike cookies?
Surprisingly (or maybe not. We're talking about the girl who eats lollipops on a daily basis here), she seems to have a sweet tooth.
It was Zoe who dragged her off, since she actually wanted to spend time looking around before the important events start.
"So, (Y/N)," said girl started, twirling her hair with a finger as the three of them walk around.
The trio pretends to not notice how some turn their heads to stare at them.
"Are you going to buy someone from the auction?"
"Why would I?" responds the girl.
"You're filthy rich, right? Since you're siblings with Daniel...can you help me out when I buy him?"
