Chapter 21: What's Inside the Cabinet?

Nakita ko na lang ang sarili kong nakaupo sa sofa sa tapat ni Kalev, Severus, at Alexander. Doon ko lang din napagaalaman na galing Washinton pa si Alexander at nag drive pa siya ng limang oras upang makarating dito.

Kalev, on the other hand, is staying here for a night, dahil may attendan itong conference bukas. Samantalang si Severus naman ay pagtapos niyang magpalipad ng eroplano ay dito na siya dumiretso.

Suddenly, I felt something cold on my skin. Napatingala ako ng tingin at mula doon ay may nakita ko si Trevor na may dalang ice pack para sa akin.

"What for?" Tanong ko sa kanya. Itinuro naman niya ang kanyang noo na ngayon ay namumula. I saw a small bump on his forehead. Bigla ko na lang naalala ang nangyari sa aming dalawa sa kwarto niya kanina.

"On your left forehead," maikling pahayag nito at tsaka naglakad palapit kay Kalev at doon tumabi sa pagupo. He leaned his back on the sofa, while putting the ice pack on the right of his forehead. Nang ilagay ko ang ice pack sa kaliwang noo ko, doon ko lang naramdaman na sumasakit pala ito.

I didn't even say thank you.

"What happened to the two of you? Ngayon naman ay parehas kayong may bukol." Severus said trying to suppress his laughters. Gusto ko magpasalamat dahil wala dito si Nikos. Isa pa iyon malakas mangasar.

Hinintay kong magsalita si Trevor ngunit nakita ko lang itong umiiling.

"Don't try to put words in Trevor's mouth. He won't speak to us." Alexander said while reading a thick book that only he can understand. Naka cross legs pa ito at mukhang nirereview niya ang mga nakalagay sa libro. Oh yes! He's taking residency training here.

"Imagine my shock when I saw him here. I mean, akala ko ba ay busy ka sa preparation mo sa world tour? Iba ata ang balak mong itour." My face is flustered because of Severus' comment. He then shifted his gaze to me and when he finally notice how uncomfortable I am he apologizes.

"I am sorry. It's just that the idea of Trevor kissing a girl was something I can't comprehend. The percentage of Trevor kissing is below forty percent." Shocked by his words, I look at Trevor who seems uninterested. Does forty percent include kissing Georginna?

"Don't talk about me as if I am not here." Trevor kept his eyes on the ceiling. Ngayon ko lang napansin na may earphones niya sa kanyang balikat pero hindi ito nakalagay sa kanyang tenga. I wonder what song is he listening to. Is it rock? Is it ballad? Is it pop song? I don't know. Naagaw lang an gaming atensiyon nang tumayo si Kalev at tumingin sa akin.

"By the way, I ordered clothes for you, Tori. It will be delivered here." Minsan talaga ay nakaka-gulat ang mga naging aksiyon ni Kalev. What I know about my cousin Kalev is he's really intimidating. His smoldering presence is scary as if he can eat you alive. At tsaka sa tuwing lumalaki kami ay napapansin kong si Nikos lang ang isa sa madalas nitong samahan. He rarely go out with us. Only Nikos, Damien, and Kelvin. No girl can even be near him. Ohh! I bet he's not interested with girls. Boring.

"Thank you, cousin." Kailan niya kaya ito ginawa? He's been with us since they came here.

"Don't mention it. Anyway, I'll be in my room now. I'll take a rest." I was rather outraged at his casual attitude. He then started to go upstairs. Sinundan ko ng tingin ang pag-alis niya.

"Me too, maiwan ko na muna kayo dito." Sumunod naman si Severus na umalis. Alexander reached out from the cup of coffee on the glass table and drank down his coffee in a rush.
