You've been working all day. Writing, reading, analysing, watching as the Syndicate prepared for either an attack on them or for attacking the cult instead. In any case, you know what's going to happen tomorrow, and you can't help but wonder how they're going to act. How well are they at improvising? Honestly, you really look forward to seeing what they'll do.

You sit upright in your bed as you're silently watching George, having turned the tables on him. You're pretty sure that he knows of it too, After all, usually he was the one keeping his eyes on you while you were unconscious, but now he can't do that anymore thanks to you being awake. And well, you don't really care about it now. After all, you go out at night as soon as you're certain that George won't know, but you would've expected him to say something about you not sleeping.

Oh well, as long as he doesn't, the more you'll just be able to go out, right? God, you feel like a teenager when it's worded like that.

You're a bit careless, though. No, not just careless, but you're a bit too excited to leave. You almost forget to close the door to the bedroom, even leaving the front door slightly open on accident after you almost drop the coatrack when taking off your own jacket. However, you assume that you'll be fine. Nobody heard, right? How can they hear it now when they couldn't for the previous times you went out, right?

That's a foolish thing to think, but it's what you think nonetheless.

So, after you leave the Syndicate again, you're unaware of the curious feet following you to a mansion of comfort.

The old-fashioned hat you're wearing hides the white streak. The grey coat with the scarf, made by Aimsey herself, meanwhile make it harder for people to look at your face, making you seem like any old businessman passing the streets back in a time where you weren't alive yet. A figure like that, wouldn't catch any suspicion. And even if they would, nobody would dare to approach you.

With a bright grin, you arrive at Bad's mansion, who lets you in without a doubt. Afterwards, he quickly closes the door, leaving the watcher outside. The two of you start talking, you letting out some of your most insane thoughts, while Bad simply stares at you in wonder.

The two of you go to his giant yard, because of his suggestion to do so, while you're asking him what he is planning to do if the Syndicate and its allies intervene. Of course, it'll be a mere speech, meant to show the deceitful good nature of the cult and Bad, the leader of it. An attempt to lure more victims towards the Egg. "After all, it's very likely that they will use violence as a response, if they response at all. Technoblade can say whatever he wants, but he's known to use aggression quite immediately."

"Ponk said that he changed," Bad states confusedly, continuing to walk towards the small fire that he'd started in his house in the hopes to make his meeting with you more romantic. "He's not obsessed with you anymore, is he? So, surely, he's a lot more peaceful as well, right?"

"Oh please," you snarl at him, the hostility evident. "Techno can say all he wants, but you just have to push him over the edge and he'll be back to his old habits in no time. It happened to Wilbur, it happened to Fundy, and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to him too."

The two of you are close to the fire and Bad sits down on the bench he set down next to it. For a bit, you just stare into it, thoughts overflown by the events that occurred to break you apart from a good friend.

And just like that, you're back at the Hotel, standing in the flames as you're watching it be burnt around you. There's a deity outside the window and that same dream is ready to repeat itself again. The people having you surrounded with their eyes bleeding black, you being unable to flee as you're attempting to follow the strangers. The setting changes every time, though. One time, you're standing next to a train, the other you're on a roof. Sometimes you try to get to a church, but then it's suddenly just a ruin. However, you know that there's always something for you there. And, thanks to the places where there are no walls surrounding your destination, you've come to discover that it's a podium you long for each time.
