You're blinded by your own anger and panic as you're returning to the base, scared of what will happen when your daughter gets harmed. No, if your daughter gets harmed. Maybe, just maybe, Dream hasn't done anything yet? You know that that's not true, but you can still hope, right?

No, it's useless. Whatever that dick did to her, you're going to make sure that he pays for it one way or another.

When you arrive at the base, Dream is nowhere to be found, and neither is Aimsey. Tears have started appearing in your eye already and you quickly find Ghostbur awake, talking to Philza in the kitchen. As soon as their eyes fall on you, you can easily read the worry on their faces. You have no idea what your face is doing. There's so much going through your mind at the moment, and George, who's been following you the entire time, should be just as scared as Dream. And if he isn't yet, you'll make sure he is.

"Y/N, are you okay?" Philza asks immediately, the concern evident, but his face looks vague to you, if that's even the correct way to put it. His eyes are inconsistent, just as his voice sounds distant, but you can't tell whether it's a symptom of your sickness or a symptoms of your rage. Your breathing is heavy and you're pretty sure you're crying by now, but it's no time to admit that.

"Where the fuck is Dream, Phil?" you ask immediately, the tone threatening despite the usual volume. "Tell me where the hell he's hiding."

"He went to your house," the voice of Techno says, as he's appeared behind you, not at all bothered to look at you and instead examining the words on some page you can't see. "You know, the one you burnt down. Apparently, the basement is still intact. Or a part of it. The other part was blown up."

"How the- How the hell do you know about that? How the hell does he?"

"Y/N, be honest with me. It's Dream. And well, Wilbur tells me a lot as well." When your face freezes in shock at his comment, he raises his eyebrow. "Are you actually surprised?" No, you're not. You're perplexed, sure, but in any clear state of mind, you would've just sighed at the comment and shook your head in disappointment or something. But now, with the increasing fear for your daughter's safety, there's way too much going on for you to properly process your surroundings.

You don't show Techno any of your vaguely-present gratitude towards his answer and knowledge on the matter. Instead, you simply glare over at George before preparing yourself to leave the base. However, right as you stand in front of the hall leading to the exit, you look over at your phone. For a moment, you think about it. For this one moment of clarity, you very carefully make a decision. Will you, for the first time since forever, drive the car to your old house or will you ask Sam to pick you up? And what if you're there? What will you do then? What if your actions will only be counterproductive and lead to some weird justification from Dream's side? What if you'll overreact and make it about yourself? What if you don't react at all? What if you'll freeze in the moment or your body will break down?

"Tech?" Technoblade looks up at his name and makes eye contact with you. "Sapnap and Karl, will they come tomorrow?" When Techno nods, as you expected, you squeeze your eye slightly at him. "Make sure Sapnap stays here, if I'm not there yet, for whatever reason this may be. I need to have a private conversation with him and I don't want to have it somewhere unfamiliar." Techno looks at you with scepticism. However, he doesn't refuse.

"Isn't the entire City familiar to you by now?" Ghostbur confusedly asks, his eyes expressing nothing but kindness and naivety; a perfect contrast against your harsh and paranoid mind at that very moment. "I mean, you've lived in here, you've been raised here, and you're leading it now."

"Yes, but at least here, he can't run," you spit out, the hostility not meant to be directed towards Ghostbur, but you can't afford to feel guilty now. And as you turn to George, holding out your gloved hand, you glare at him. "Car keys."
