I shook my head. "Daemon that's -" before I could complete my sentence I was interrupted by the knock on the door. "Come in."
"Papa."
I smiled. "Hello, love. What brings you here."
She gave me a sweet smile. "I want something. Please don't say no."
"I can never say no to you, my love."
"Why do you think he might refuse? What is it that you want," Daemon asked with a frown.
This time Astrid's smile seemed a little nervous. "I want to go to a party. Anubis and Soren are going too. Please can I go, papa?"
I shook my head. " No baby. It's not-"
Before I could say further Daemon interrupted. "Of course you can." He said earning a squeal from her.
"Thank you, thank you so much." She threw her arms around his neck and placed kisses on all over his face.
"No," I spoke ruining her mood. "You can't go. It's a high school part and-"
Before I could say further Daemon interrupted. "Dad, let her go. Anubis and Soren are going to be with her. It's going to be fine."
"Please papa."
Shit. I can never say no to those beautiful eyes.
"Fine." I sighed. "But promise me you will always stick to your brothers."
Astrid nodded. "Promise."
