Hello Friends and Enemies,

To start off, I know that there are many wishing for a sequel even though it's only going to be one book, (I blame no one wanting this though! Sadly, I currently don't have any desire for a sequel at this time, I'm sorry! Though I would like to one day go back and edit Mermaid and fix/maybe change(?) some things that need some reworking at some point.) however!

I do have a book that is similar, if not better (this is my opinion as the writer, but I know it all comes down to the person reading it because everyone's tastes vary from book to book) called Mansion of Dolls.

This book is a slow-burn, much like Mermaid, but a Supernatural Horror Mystery, rather than a Fantasy Horror that has elements of Mystery, and could very well be seen as a successor to Mermaid for it carries similar elements but also its own story

These two books, however, are not from the same world, these stories are their own contained works, but Mansion of Dolls does take some aspects of Mermaid, like how the core main cast is Canadian and (for Mermaid) takes part in Japan, while Mansion of Dolls is solely set in Japan. Also, Mansion of Dolls has a sequel called Doll of Sacrifice.

So if this is something you would find interesting, you can find both books on my page, note that you have to read Mansion of Dolls first before you read Doll of Sacrifice since it will have spoilers for the first book

I know this may not give you all the same enjoyment, but I thought that if you liked Mermaid, you may also enjoy these other two books, and if then that's okay.

Still, if you do give it a read, I hope you enjoy them and see how similar/different it is to this Fantasy Horror novel!
