NORA'S POV
"Now tell me what did Allan do? Spit it out fast girl!" Ira came home this afternoon and ran straight to my room.
"Will you let me complete this chapter? I finally reached the good part."
When she came running, I convinced her to freshen up and then I will tell her the whole thing. She came within 15 minutes. Girl really wants to know the tea.
"Did you even eat?" I keep my gaze fixed on my laptop.
"I will eat after you tell me what that dick did to you. I can't wait to punch him."
"Eat. I need 5 minutes more."
"What are you writing? Smut?"
"Yeah...."
"That's why your cheeks are kind of red."
I instantly turn red.
"Now you look like a tomato. How long has it been?"
"A year."
"Girl, you really need some action."
"I know but I ain't got the time. I am so busy. Alright, I am done."
She looks at me with her puppy eyes and I smile. I love the shit out of her. Her hair has gotten more curly.
I tell her everything. Allan disrupting my peace, me getting sick and then mom's situation.
She falls from the bed clutching her belly and laughing.
"She mistook Kai as your boyfriend. Does she know how much you want to rip off his head." She laughs more.
"Unfortunately no."
"So what are you gonna do?"
"Go to the wedding alone."
"What are you gonna say to your mom?"
"That we broke up because of our busy schedules."
"Um....that's believable. You know they won't leave you alone."
"I know. They will bring up my miserable dating life."
"Will you be okay with that?"
"I am already used to it but it still hurts." She hugs me.
"When they say that just bring their miserable marriage life up that will keep their mouths shut."
I laugh. "I will keep that in mind."
"How did my beloved but not so beloved brother react?"
"He is the one who created all this mess. You know what, why am I blaming him? My mamma is the one to blame." She laughs again.
"Victoria is the best. She really is funny." I glare at her.
"It's because you aren't in my place."
