You ended up at the opening of a cave. There were a couple times that you'd thought that the horses would lose their footing on the steep path and that you'd topple down and into the valley below. It was a feeling of relief when you hit the ground, even if the landing from the saddle wasn't very nice.

You yawned. You hadn't slept in over a day now. You heard his throat clear and were surprised at its proximity. You staffed back a little, your heel almost slipping over the edge. He grabbed your hand before pulling you to him.

"Be careful," he said, before pushing the vines back. "Come on."

You followed him into the cave. It was dark and damp and now smelt like horse. You crinkled up your nose, not sure you wanted to keep breathing in that air.

He look at you before chuckling.

"What?" you demanded.

He shook his head. "You remind me of someone."

You didn't mean to pry, but you did. "Who?"

His mouth hardened as he turned away. "No one."

You followed him through the rest of the never ending cave and found yourself in complete darkness.

You stumbled and he caught you, before holding your arm, leading you. How could he see?

"Stay behind me," he said.

You frowned, stepping behind him, wedging yourself in between two horses. At least you thought you were. In this light, it was hard to see where you were.

Soon you began to see a small glow which quickly got brighter and you found yourself standing behind him, on a ledge, in front of a small underground city.

"What. The. Heck," you said. You couldn't help it.

It was like an underground mine, filled with twenty foot high tunnels. This was the main chamber, obviously.

People were working hard, scurrying around like ants underneath you. They weren't minding, but building things.

You heard heels clicking and turned to your left where a woman was walking up a flight of stairs carved into the stone.

"Hi," she said, smiling.

You frowned. "Hi."

She sighed, touching his shoulder. "Clint. Have you scared the poor thing?"

So his name was Clint. You glared at him. "I'm not scared."

They both looked at you before Clint chuckle and pat your shoulder. "Sure. Tell yourself that."

You grit your teeth. "I'm not!"

His hand moved to his quiver and you immediately took a step back. He chuckled. "Right. Al, I'll leave her with you." He grinned at you before leaving down the stairs.

She smiled at you. "I'm Alice. And I'm the leader of this revolution. I have that chapter you want, but I'm here to tell you why you can't have it."

Oh jolly.
