It seemed like you'd known him forever. You'd been childhood friends, and then best friends in kindy, and primary, and high school, and now you were here. He was in working halfway across the world, and you were still at home, figuring out your life. As you pulled into a spot at the airport, your mind took you back down memory lane.

Flashback

"I don't like you!" you yelled as a boy took your spot on the swing. You were an unhappy three year old.

"I don't care!" he shouted back, blowing a raspberry. How rude!

You stuck your tongue out too, blowing an even better raspberry and getting a little spit on him.

He got off the swing, towering over you. He was five.

"You're just a girl!" he said before pushing you. You fell and immediately began to cry. He didn't care and went back on the still empty swing.

As you wailed, you watched him fall off the swing. Well, be pushed.

A brunette boy stood there, looking at you. He gave you a smile and you saw all his little pearly whites. "You can have the swing," he said.

End of flash back

You made it to the actual terminal, so excited to see him. The last time you'd seen him had been a year ago. This meeting was long overdue.

Flashback

The summer holidays were almost over. You were ridiculously excited to go back to school to start year 12.

It wasn't really school that you were looking forward to. It was more your best friend. He'd gone on holidays with his family and was finally back.

You arrived at school, trying to spot him out. You found him at the entrance, waiting for you. You smiled. "Hey!"

He grinned back. "Hey. I missed you." You liked the sound of his voice and the words helped.

"I missed you too," you replied, giggling.

He pulled something out of his bag. A little charm bracelet. He smiled. "I saw it and it reminded me of you..." He put it on your wrist and grinned. "It looks good on you."

You smiled, staring at its beauty and his.

End of Flashback

You stared up at the screen. Delayed? You sighed. You were stuck waiting for another twenty minutes. You guessed that twenty minutes wasn't that bad.

Flashback

"(Y/N)! Let's go!"

You ran after him, laughing. The movie would be starting soon, and you were a block away.

The two of you made it and he went to get popcorn and drinks.

You sat down in the dark, enjoying the previews.

He came and sat next to you, smiling and handing you your favourite drink.

Occasionally during the movie, your hands would touch in the popcorn bucket and you would look at him and notice him smiling. He was probably blushing too.

Then near the middle of the movie, you felt his arm go around you. You knew he knew what he was doing.

Instead of looking at him, you simply lean your head on him and relax in.

End of flashback

You smiled as you saw just who you wanted to see. Clint stood there, looking a little lost, but the moment he saw you too, he was running at you just as you were running at him.

You collided in the middle.

"I missed you," he whispered in your ear.

You looked up at him and smiled. "I missed you too."

He looked at the charm bracelet on your wrist. The one you'd never taken off. He took out a little golden bag and held it out to you.

You opened it and inside was a new little charm. You grinned and he grinned back.

"It reminded me of you," he said.

He helped you attach it, and you watched the light come off it. "It's beautiful."

He smiled. "Just like you."
