Eliza's POV-

"Come on Liz! This is a good job." Jenna said.

"I know but I don't think I can do it. Did you see the requirements? I'll loose all my social and personal life if I take that job." I said walking along the side walk.

"But think about it 7000 dollars a month. That is more than most of the corporate jobs pay and you only have to take care of two sweet kids." She tried perusing me. Jenna is a medical resident.

She has been trying to make me apply for the job of a nanny to two kids from the past week. It is actually a good job but I am reluctant about applying. The job was to take care of two kids of a very famous and wealthy businessman, Vincent Chae aka the devil of the business world. He was building up the legacy of his late grandfather.

"It's not about the money. I'll have to move into their house. That takes all my personal space. No friends over, no late night study sessions and most importantly I can't be myself there." I explained.

"But you can adjust there only for a year. That'll give you 84000 dollars in a year and after you add that to your savings you can concentrate fully on studies again." She said.

I thought about it for a moment. The job wasn't a problem at all I have been very good with handling kids since I was kid myself. I was the standard babysitter for our neighborhood. The benefits weren't also bad. Free housing, a great salary, and one day off. That was better than all the odd jobs I have done till now. I could quit my part time jobs too. Right now I was seesawing between three jobs and half of my salary was going on living expenses.

"Fine. I'll apply for it." I said.

"No need for that. I already submitted your resume and tomorrow you have your interview." She announced casually like she hadn't just dropped an atomic bomb on me.

"What? When?" I exclaimed.

"Don't worry about it. I'll send you the details." She put her arm around my shoulder.

"Jenna." I called out disapprovingly.

At the same time another voice called out her name but this was a happy voice. It was Carter, Jenna's fiancé. He sitting in front of my apartment building waiting for us. Jenna ran to him and hugged him. They were set to marry in two months. Both of them loved each other to death. They have been together since high school. Their relationship was the definition of pure love.

"Alright you guys are making me nauseous." I looked the other way when they still hadn't let go of each other.

"What's up Liz?" Carter asked.

"Nothing much. Your fiancé just signed me up for a job without asking me." I said.

"Did she now?" He raised an eyebrow looking at Jenna. Jenna gave him a goofy smile.

"Well we should get going .We have a wedding to plan." Jenna said, "Bye Liz. I'll send you the details of the interview."

"Bye!" I said.

Both of them left and I went at my sad one room apartment. Tonight's menu was cup noodles. I sat on the couch while binge watching some Netflix series.

I slept early because of the interview tomorrow. I had look presentable.
