Eliza's POV-

A week can make a big difference in your relationships with people. That is exactly what happened in my life, over this week I grew more close to kids and the family. Everyone except my beloved husband, who is always busy in something or other. Lily has started calling me 'mommy' every time.

Many people have started acknowledging me as Lily's mother, like her kindergarten teacher and her friend's parent. And to add to all this the media had caught on to something because there are rumors and articles circling that Vincent's in a relationship with someone. My identity is still not known and we are hoping that it remains the same.

Talking about differences in relationships, I now have a bestfriend who is angry at me for not telling her about my marriage and parents who refuse to talk to me because I didn't invite them to my wedding. I gathered up the courage to tell them two days after Lily's birthday. Jenna had an outrage knowing I got married without her knowing and her not being my maid of honour. My parents on the other hand had a completely different reactions, at first they didn't believe me and when they did my mother cut the call and isn't picking up my call for the past five days.

Today was the first hearing of the court. Vincent was nervous wreck. He hadn't slept last night at all, he was twisting and turning throughout the night ruining my sleep too.

We were supposed to go the court together but something important came up at the office so Vincent went there. Right now I was at Miles's place dropping off Lily and Jameson. Miles lived in a penthouse in 432 park avenue condominiums, Manhattan, it was one of the most expensive buildings in New York. The view from the top was breathtaking.

"All of Jamie's clothes, food and toys are in his diaper bag. Lily has homework to complete make sure she does that first. Don't give them too much sugar. Don't feed Jamie anything else than the food I have packed because his stomach is upset. And no T.V or Video Games during eating." I said to Miles while settling down Jameson in his playing pen.

"I know. This is not my first time babysitting them." Miles said. Lily was settled side ways on his hips.

"But I know you will not go according to the rules." I glared at him. He and Lily grinned at me.

I kissed Jamie's forehead and got up.

"I'll leave now, I'm already late. Vincent must be waiting for me." I said.

"Okay. Bye." Miles said.

"Bye, mommy." Lily said.

"Bye, baby. Be good to your samchon." I kissed her cheek.

"I will." She promised.

I left the house. Simon was already waiting for me with the car. I got in and we headed towards the court. No matter how much I deny it, I was nervous as hell.

Vincent's POV-

Is she even coming?

I paced nervously in front of my car. Eliza was late. We were supposed to meet at 11:30 am and it was already quarter to twelve. The hearing was at 12 pm. We were supposed to come together but some idiot screwed up at the office so I had to go there first.

What if she doesn't show up? What if she is late? What if-

Then a white Mercedes benz A class stopped in front. I knew that car very well, I was the one who had gifted it. From inside it three people descended. Roger and Taila King along with the biological mother of my children, Celestine. She was looking beautiful as ever but I didn't feel the same like I did about seeing. It was like a switch had flipped inside of me. I wasn't feeling good about seeing her instead there was anger inside of me.

They walked straight towards me. Celestine was wearing a dress of my favourite colour. She made eye contact with me. I hadn't seen her since Ye On's birth.

"Well if it isn't Vincent Chae himself. I'm surprised you actually care enough for the kids to actually show up." Roger taunted.

I clenched my jaw and my fists.

At that time a Land Rover whose licence plate was familiar to me stopped in front of the entrance. Eliza exited from the passenger seat.

The relief I felt was hard to describe when I saw her.

She looked around her eyes searching for presumably me. Her eyes landed on me and she jogged towards me. She walked right past the Kings and stood in front me.

"I'm so sorry for coming late. We got stuck in traffic." She was out of breath. She didn't notice the people infront of me.

"It's fine." I said contrary to the panic I felt just moments ago. I placed my hands on her cheeks and gently pulled her closer to me. I placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Her face morphed into a surprise and shock.

"Vincent, who is she?" Celestine asked. Her eyes were narrowed in on Eliza. I turned Eliza to face them and placed my hand on her waist.

"This is my wife. Eliza Chae." I said proudly. "Yeobo, these are the Kings." I said to Eliza and the look of realisation crossed her face.

"Your wife?" Celestine spit out. Her anger was crystal clear.

"Yes." I said. Her parents has shocked faces.

"When did you get married?" She asked.

"A day before Yu Eun's birthday. But I don't think you'd remember her birth date after all you are too busy for her." I taunted.

"I very well know my daughter's birthday." She gritted her teeth.

"You mean our daughter. As in mine and Eliza's." I said.

"You-" She was cut off by our lawyers.

"Eliza, Vincent you're here." Nigel said.

"Hey, Nigel." Eliza gave a small wave to him. He smiled.

"This is Judge Hansen." Nigel introduced a short woman who was standing beside him. She had the supreme aura around her.

"Good morning everybody." She said in a very professional tone.

"Good morning." There was chorus between all of us.

Eliza's phone started ringing.

"I'm sorry." She said before picking it up.

"Hey, Miles. What happened?" She spoke.

"Give her the phone."

"Hey, sweetheart. What's wrong?" She asked with concern. After a while she spoke again.

"It's fine. We'll make it again. There's no need to cry over it. No, I'm not angry. I know it was mistake, you'll never do that on purpose." She spoke in caring tone.

Why was Yu Eun crying?

"Mommy promises you. Okay?" She asked.

"Good. I love you too. Now, I'll talk to you when I get home. Goodbye, baby." She said and cut the call. Throughout the call Judge Hansen was closely observing Eliza.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Nothing. Lily accidentally broke the house we had made out of ice cream sticks for her school project. She thought that I'll be angry." Eliza explained.

"She's fine now?" I asked.

"Yeah. I promised her we'll make another one together after I get home." Eliza said.

"It's time. Let's head inside." Judge Hansen said.

We all went inside the court to start the trial of my fate.
