Eliza's POV-

I woke up after a really deep sleep. I was in Vincent's room. I don't know how I ended up here. The last thing I remembered was falling asleep in his car. It was already 8pm. I slept for four hours. I freshened up and had a pain killer. On my way down stairs I passed the kid's room and both of them were already asleep.

Had they eaten? Ofcourse they had. Martha wouldn't let them sleep without eating.

I walked down the stairs and there was someone in the kitchen who definitely wasn't Martha. There was a weird smell in there.

Was that Vincent? And he was cooking?

He was in his home clothes. There was an apron tied around his waist his back was faced to me. I entered the kitchen and called out,

"Hey,"

He turned around there was a small hint of a smile on his face.

"What's happening?" I asked.

"I made us dinner." He said.

"Us?" I asked.

"Yes. You and me." He said.

"What about the kids?"

"Both of them have already had their dinner. Yu Eun has to go to school early tomorrow so I made her sleep early." He turned his back to do something.

"And Martha?" I questioned.

"She left about 15 minutes ago." He said.

"You should've woken me up." I rubbed my eyes.

"You were sound asleep. There was no point in waking you up when you were finally in deep sleep." Vincent Chae being considerate was one of the softest things ever.

"Come on sit down. Let's eat." He seemed like a little kid who was excited to show his school project. I smiled. He placed a pot on the small coffee table in the kitchen.

"Sit down." He pushed me to the seat and made me sit down. He sat opposite to me. That's when I noticed there was something in his hair and even the pocket of his apron. The smell in the kitchen was still lingering so I decided to see what exactly was so burnt.

I walked to the sink and it was crime scene of a kitchen there. Pots and pans completely blackened and burnt with food as dark as charcoal were filled.

"What in the Gordon Ramsay happened here?" I said.

"Ignore that please." Vincent muttered.

I smiled to myself. For the first time had I seen him this soft and warm. Usually he had his cold business man exterior. I turned around and walked towards him. Removing all the stuff from his hair and apron I said, "Khumayo." (Thank you)

He smiled at me. Today was definitely my lucky day. I was seeing him smile so much I was afraid the world was about to collapse. I went and sat back down.

"So, what's on the menu today?" I rubbed hands together.

"On today's menu we have Salmon Niçoise Salad, Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi and Halibut with Rice Wine. And dessert's a surprise." He pointed at individual dishes in front of me and served us both.

"Yum." I took one bite and true to heaven this food was absolute bliss. I moaned the minute it hit my taste buds.

"How's it?" He asked. I gave him a thumbs up because my mouth was too full to talk.
