Eliza's POV-

I sat at a small table in the Gelato shop. Vincent had gone to order for us. Today's date was truly the best day of my life and it was all possible because of Vincent. I was so happy that I could fly higher than the clouds.

I never knew that someone could make me this happy. I don't know how long had it been since I was this happy. My relationship with Henry never felt like this. I was glad that it was all over and I finally had someone in my life who would make me their first choice not a backup option.

I smiled to myself unknowingly.

"Hi," A voice interrupted. It was a man, maybe a year or two older than me.

"Hi, do I know you?" I asked awkwardly. I was sure I had never met him before.

"No, I think you are pretty. Can I have your social media handle?" He asked.

"No, I can't." I tried to be kind.

"Please, I promise you I am not some pervert. I just want to make a friend." He said.

"Actually, I am-" I was cut from my sentence.

"She is married to someone who'll break your bones if you ever come near her again." Vincent's scary voice came from behind that man.

"And who are you?" The man just dug his own grave, talking to Vincent in that tone.

"That exact someone who will end your god awful life in the most painful way possible," Vincent took a dangerous step towards that man.

"You are unhinged," The man's voice quivered.

"Exactly, so you better leave and never show your face again." Vincent threatened.

What happened to the sweet man from 10 minutes ago?

The guy ran away almost immediately.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Your lawfully wedded husband." He stated.

"What I meant was how an you change your moods so quickly?" I took a cup of gelato.

"Can we not talk about that fucker and focus on our date?" He rolled his eyes.

"Okay, grumpy pants." I put a bite of the gelato in my mouth and it instantly melted.

"Let's go for a walk." I suggested.

"Right now?" He asked.

"Yes, now come on." I held his hand and dragged him out of the shop.

"Why do we have to walk?" He whined.

"Because it is near winter. The perfect time to have a long night walk." I did a small turn.

"Also a perfect time to catch a cold." He said sarcastically.

"Oh, shut up." I rolled my eyes. Suddenly I felt his hand intertwine with mine. I turned to look at him but he looked completely unbothered. Happiness filled me inside me making me feel giddy.

"Where exactly are we going?" He asked.

"There is a small park round the corner, let's go there." I said. We walked to the park and sat on the park bench. This part to the city was relatively quite.

"Do you come here often?" Vincent asked.

"I used to come here with Jenna, mostly when we both needed to get away from the crowd." I finished my gelato and propped my head against the park bench looked up at the night sky.

"Look up there." Vincent pointed up at the sky at a group of stars. He came close to me. "Do you see that W shape, there?" I nodded. "That is the Cassiopeia constellation, it is made up of five major stars Segin, Ruchbah, Gamma Cassiopeiae, Schedar and Caph. It is named after..." He stopped speaking when I turned to look at him.

Our faces were inches away from each other, heavy air settled around us. His hot breath fanned my face. With a moment of hesitation we closed the space between us. Our lips sealed never to separate. The kiss started as a soft, loving and a caressing slowly it turned desperate. His tongue entered my mouth and I lost myself in that kiss. My hands tangled in his hair. I moaned into him.

"Hey, this is a public park not your personal bedroom." A voice shouted from somewhere.

We broke apart, "Let's go." Vincent held my hand, standing up and started running. We both were running like we were teenagers who got caught sneaking off. As we were running we both laughed. We reached the car and sat in it. Both of us were out of breath.

Today somehow it felt like all my dreams about my future partner came true. I looked at him for a longing moment and I knew this was going to turn into something really big. I knew what I felt right now was much much more that just liking someone.
