Victoria's First Day Of School

Today, is Victoria's first day of 4th grade at her new school. She's super excited! Her and Bailey are in the same class. Amelia is getting ready for work. Carina has already gotten ready for work, she's just downstairs waiting for Amelia making breakfast for them and the kids. Both of her moms are glad she'll have a friend.

"Mama, I'm so excited for my first day of school!! Bailey's gonna be in my class too!" Victoria squeals excitedly.

"I know honey, I'm excited for you" Carina says.

"I'll miss you, mommy and sissy though" Victoria sighs.

"We'll miss you too sweetie, but you'll make so many friends" Carina says bending down to hug her daughter.

Victoria grins.

Amelia then comes downstairs all ready for work after her shower. Carina already had cooked breakfast. It's bacon, eggs and toast. Victoria's favorite for her special first day at her new school.

They all eat breakfast. Then, Carina picks up Iris and Amelia, Carina, Victoria and Iris all go to wait for the bus so it can pick up Victoria for school. There's about 19 kids in Victoria's class besides her. So that would make it 20 all together. All the kids are either 9 or 10 in her class. Victoria is now going to Seattle Elementary School.

Once the bus comes to their stop, Victoria rushes off to bus, but not before coming back to hug her moms and sister goodbye.

Carina and Amelia crouch down and open their arms so their daughter can come and hug them.

"I'm gonna miss you mommy and mama" Victoria says.

"We're gonna miss you too, sweetie" Amelia says.

"We love you, Vic, have a great day at school" Carina says. Both her moms kiss either sides of Vic's forehead.

"Okay...love you too!" Victoria goes to bus and finds a seat next her cousin, Bailey.

Once Victoria gets to school, Bailey walks to class with her.

"Hi, I'm Mrs Rodriguez and I'll be your 4th grade teacher for the year. You must be Victoria Shepherd-DeLuca" Vic's teacher says.

Victoria nods. "Yes, I am" She says.

"Okay. Class, please introduce yourselves" Mrs Rodriguez says.

Victoria's classmates all introduce themselves. Her classmates names are Penelope Adams, Lily Moore, Anna Hernandez, Isla Cooper, Harper Allen, Bailey Grey-Shepherd, Landon Harris, Madeline Parker, Carson Lee, Pearl Martinez, Samantha Carter, Elisa Taylor, Ryder Thompson, Brooks Lopez, Caleb Campbell, Morgan Williams, Kaitlynn Wilson, Jayden Davis and Phoebe Garcia.

They learn about Math, Science, Reading and before you know it, it's time for recess.

Bailey goes off to play with his 3 friends, Brooks, Landon and Jayden, leaving Victoria by herself.

Bailey and Jayden have been friends since Kindergarten, so now they're pretty close.

Victoria is by herself. She looks around. Bailey, Brooks, Landon and Jayden are running around playing police officers, Madeline and Kaitlynn are on the swings, Pearl, Samantha, Elisa and Morgan are by the slide, Phoebe seems to be drawing on the sidewalk with chalk and Caleb is doing hop scotch.

Victoria really starts to miss her moms and sister. Maybe she won't make any friends at this school. No one seems to like her.

Just then, 5 girls come walking over. Their names are Penelope, Lily, Anna, Isla and Harper.

"Hi, are you Victoria?" Lily asks.

Victoria looks up at the girl. "Yes, I am. We're in the same class"

"Oh, nice to meet you. I remember when it was my first day here. I thought I wouldn't make any friends..." Lily says. Lily had moved to Seattle back in November.

"Yeah.... I miss my moms and my little sister" Victoria says.

"Moms?" Lily asks.

"Yeah, I have two moms. Their names are Carina and Amelia. They're a gay couple" Victoria says. "I love them so much"

"Oh, that's cool! My uncle is gay" Lily says.

"That's cool!" Victoria says.

"Yeah" Lily says with a smile.

All of the girls start talking about their lives until Ryder comes over.

"Ewww, you have two moms?" Ryder says.

All 6 girls turn around to look at Ryder.

"Yeah, I do" Victoria says. "Isn't it cool!?"

"More like disgusting" Ryder says.

"Oh..." Victoria says, starting to tear up.

"You're the most disgusting person on this planet if you think gay is okay" Ryder says.

Victoria starts to cry. She doesn't really know what to say or do.

"Awww, look at the cry baby crying! Such a loser!" Ryder says.

"I-I'm sorry you hate me..." Victoria says, her eyes filled with tears.

Ryder pushes Victoria down making Victoria scrap her knee and runs off.

"O-ow!" Victoria says, holding her knee. She continues crying.

"Vic, are you okay?" Bailey says and walks over.

Victoria shakes her head no, standing up, pushing him away and running past him.

"Victoria, wait!" Harper says.

Victoria hears her friends and her cousin calling after her, but she continues running. She runs straight into the bathroom stall and closes the door, sitting on the floor curling her knees up to her chest crying in them. She stays in there until the end of recess.

"Hey, Victoria, come here please sweetie" Mrs Rodriguez says.

Victoria comes out of the bathroom stall, her eyes and face red from crying. "I-I wanna go home, Mrs Rodriguez" She says.

"Honey, you still have 5 more hours left of school" Mrs Rodriguez says, walking out of the bathroom with Victoria.

5 more hours? Great! 5 more hours with rude Ryder.

Mrs Rodriguez and Victoria walk back to class.

Victoria comes home from school, she did not have a good day. She can't help, but cry when she sees her moms and her sister.

Amelia is standing in the kitchen cooking dinner whilst Iris is in her high chair.

Carina hugs Vic when she sees her crying. "Oh, Vic, what happened?" Carina asks.

Victoria sobs into her moms chest. "There was this boy named Ryder at school that said I was disgusting because I thought being gay was okay" Vic sniffles.

"Baby, you're not, okay? Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You're a woman, Vic, you're strong, don't let anyone take away that power" Carina tells their daughter.

"Okay, mama" Victoria says.

Amelia, Carina, Victoria and Iris all eat dinner, then head to bed.
