Carina's working at the hospital today. It was a pretty easy morning. Only a few surgeries so she got to hang out with Jo and Amara. It only takes a few seconds for Carina to look up and see a familiar face.
"Gabriella?" Carina is a little confused at first.
"Ciao, Carina (Hi, Carina)" Gabriella says.
"Oh mio Dio! Gabriella che ci fai qui? (Oh my gosh! Gabriella what are you doing here?)"
"Ho solo pensato di venire a trovare il mio migliore amico. Ho un volo da prendere domani però (I just thought I'd come see my best friend. I have a flight to catch tomorrow though)" Gabriella tells her best friend. Gabriella and Carina have been friends since medical school.
"Ho anche pensato che avresti avuto bisogno di un altro OB (I also thought you would need another OB)" Gabriella adds.
"Sì, grazie (Yes, thank you)"
"Hi babe" Amelia kisses Carina and then looks at Gabriella. "Hi..."
"Ciao (Hi)" Gabriella says.
"Right-uh-Amelia this is my friend Gabriella, Gabriella this is Amelia" Carina introduces.
"Amici, ma abbiamo anche fatto molto sesso (Friends, but we also had a lot of sex)" Gabriella blurts out.
Amelia stands there looking shocked. Carina just stares down at the floor with the look of 'damn it' on her face.
"sei anche medico? (Are you also a doctor?)" Gabriella asks.
"Gabriella, English please" Carina says.
"Okay, Amelia, you live with an Italian woman and you don't speak Italian?"
"No, no I don't"

A few moments of talking later, Gabriella, Carina and Amelia go to the little coffee shop outside the hospital.
Gabriella makes Carina an espresso. "Come è? (How is it?)"
"Mm perfetto (Mm perfect)" Carina says.
"I've tried to make an espresso with milk, but it didn't really turn out how I would've liked" Amelia stated.
"You put milk in your espresso?" Gabriella makes the expression of 'ew.'
"What's your secret?" Amelia asks.
"The secret is to make it good" Gabriella says

Carina and Amelia are home now.
"I don't know if I like Gabriella" Amelia says.
"Amelia, she's just a friend, there's nothing between us anymore" Carina says.
"You promise?"
Carina nods. "I promise"
Carina and Amelia kiss.
