{STARTED Jan. 2022 - FINISHED Jan. 2024}
I'm so done with this school year. I know it's our senior year & we should be enjoying the last moments of glory as were the top of the 'food chain' but it sucks. I can hardly see Y/n anymore. We don't have any classes together at all since she goes to Happy Harbor High while I'm at Gotham academy. I guess I should be glad she has some people with her like M'gann, Conner & Wally but I miss my best friend. Thankfully today was the last day with the whole big ceremony, but it took FOREVER. What makes it even worse is that Y/n wasn't there because stupid Happy Harbor decided to have it on the same day as us.
I growl in frustration as I strut (Like a model XD...I'm sorry, I'll stop) to my motorcycle in my suit. When I reach my motorcycle I feel something wet trickle down my cheek. A tear. I quickly swipe it away & put on my helmet. I connect my phone to my helmet & call Y/n, hoping her ceremony was done as well. The phone rings for a couple seconds before I hear her angelic voi -
WAIT. NO, SHE'S JUST. A. FRIEND.
I shake my head to get rid of those thoughts.
"Hey Jason! What's up?" She asks, her voice sounding heavenly.
'Ugh. Stop it,' I think, shaking my head.
I can tell from the noise in the background that there ceremony just ended. I clear my throat & continue riding to my destination, her ceremony.
"Nothing just on my way to see you. I can't let my best friend leave her ceremony with the group without me can I?" I question dramatically.
Her laugh enters the phone.
"No I can't. I haven't seen you since the beginning of the year so of course your going to come. If you didn't I would have gone to get you myself," Y/n replies.
"Oh! I forgot to tell you your brothers just showed up, well not Dick since he was here the whole time. Anyways they said they have a trip planned," Y/n adds, her smile easily detected through her tone.
"Well I'll be there as fast as I can. See you in a little bit," I say, a smile forming on my lips.
We exchange goodbye's as we end the call leaving me to driving in silence.
~TIME SKIP~
I park along with some of the groups cars & turn my motorcycle off. I swiftly pull of my helmet & set it in the small compartment before walking over to the group, or should I say most of YJ. Y/n's not apart of the team but is there so much she's practically a member.
I spot her in one of her favorite outfits, a yellow sundress that we got before the school year started. She kept bugging me so much about that dress I caved in & got it for her as a senior year present. (Pic Below)

She instantly looks up with her eyes sparkling a bright e/c as she spots me walking towards her. Before I know it I am being tackled by her as she squeezes the life out of me. I reciprocate the bone crushing hug as I bring her as close as I can to me. See eventually tries to let go but I don't. I vaguely here her call for my brothers help but all I can focus on is her. Her long h/c locks, her dazzling e/c eyes, her perfect skin.
Everything about her is absolutely perfect.
"Jaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy! can you let me go?" Y/n whines, wiggling as she tries to get away.
"No," I mutter, resting my forehead on her head.
She sighs as she continues to move from my grip but it only gets tighter. After a while my brothers walk on over as they realize I haven't let go yet. I feel there hands trying to pry her out of my grip but all of them together struggle.
"Why won't you let her go Todd? She clearly wants to be let go of," Demon sp - Damian says.
"Because I haven't seen her in forever since while you guys literally saw her what 2 days ago? It's not fair I want to be able to make up for all of the missed time, especially when college is coming up so soon," I state.
"Jay I know you don't want her to go but you really should let her go," Dick adds, looking at the poor girl as she is being squished to death.
"Jay that's what I was going to talk to you about but I can't if you don't let go of me," Y/n whispers, only loud enough for me to hear.
I slowly let her go but still keep my hands on her back. She looks up at me with a soft smile & yanks my tie towards her, causing me to duck down. Her lips then meet mine in a soft kiss leaving me in shock. I melt into the kiss & return it with as much passion as her. She pulls back & stares at me with her usual smile. I try to say something but she places a finger on my lips.
"I was going to tell you that I'm going to the same college as you, I'm not going to c/n anymore," Y/n says.
I stare at her in shock as she giggles at my reaction. She was so set on going to c/n so why would she change? There have been so many conversations where she had expressed how excited she was to go there, what changed her mind?
"Why did you change your mind? You were so set on going to c/n," I ask, genuinely curious.
She only sighs in response while my brothers look at me as if I grew another head. What am I missing here?
"You. Your the reason I changed my mind Jason," She replies.
I don't respond & just bring her lips to mine once again. I feel a tear run down my face but I also taste something salty on her lips too, she's crying as well. I finally found the one & I'm never letting her go.
