No week has ever been this long for me. I sighed in relief when I heard the bell ring for the close of school and the end of test week.
Abel succeeded in ignoring me all week.
Elijah seemed to disappear from the surface of the earth since our last encounter.
Brenda avoided me like a plague and gave me dirty looks whenever we crossed paths but said nothing.
Blaise, well I avoided him most of the time so we barely crossed paths.
Mr. Segun Davidson never came around since Monday.

I sighed again and tried to put all the frustrations of the week behind me. I turned to Abel, “Are you_”

He just walked right past me and ignored me.
I contemplated running after him and when I had made my decision, a hand wrapped around my right hand.

“Don’t” Gold said softly with a shake of her head.
She worriedly glanced at Jake.

I looked at him then her and him again.

“I think Abel is being bullied at home” Gold said quickly but quiet enough to not be heard above the noise in the class.

Jake shifted to Abel's seat with his stuff, “We are not 100% sure. I've been playing spy the entire week”
No wonder he wasn't ever in class whenever Abel wasn't.

“But we can find out” Gold said eagerly.

“How?” I asked.

“Count me out if you have any crazy idea” Jake said flatly.

“Meet me at Remi’s Kitchen by 7 sharp!” Gold said to us. She got up and quickly started putting her stuff in her backpack, “We may need supplies so I'll just hurry to a store and get them before we meet up. Make sure to dress up in all black, I'll take care of everything else”

“Gold we're not going to burst into Abel's house dressed up as thieves, are we?” Jake asked.

Gold paused and slowly turned to him.

His face instantly turned pale.

“That’s a good idea Jake. I didn't actually think of that. I can't wait!” her eyes glimmered with excitement.

Jake looked like he was going to cry any minute.

“See ya!” Gold waved and quickly exited the classroom.

I just shook my head and watched her skip out of the class before I started packing up my stuff.

“See you later, Rhys” Jake said and hurried after Gold.

“Hey gorgeous” a guy stopped in front of my desk.

I sighed and looked up, “Hey Seyi, is it?”

His face brightened, “Y_you know my name?”

I arched a brow at him in amusement.

“Oh, sorry about that” he laughed embarrassed, “I’m probably making a fool out of myself in front of the new girl”

I smiled at him, “No, you're not”
Well I had to save his face for his own good.

“Sooo, I was thinking. Can we be_I mean are you free this weekend?” he stuttered.

“Why don't we start with being friends first? I won't want to go just anywhere with a stranger”

“Right” he looked flustered.

It made me even more amused. He was shy. I thought since he was a dancer he was confident but I was totally wrong. “See you on Monday?”

He nodded awkwardly.

“Seyi! Come on!” Derrick hollered from the entrance of the class.
He glanced at me and rolled his eyes. His eyes went back to Seyi and he was glaring, sort of passing a mean message.
