I had a little over an hour to prepare for dinner with the Kings.
Elijah Kings was going to be there.
Well since it's his house he is going to be there, duh.
I face palmed myself. Why am I like this?

I was nervous and excited about the dinner because I knew Elijah was going to be there.

Every once in a while I would remember the events of the day before and my mood will become dampened.
Mom still hadn't said anything about it.

Shrugging off my depressing thoughts, I decided to focus on what to wear.
I opened my closet and picked the first black dress I saw. It was pretty and elegant, yet simple. I was feeling more in the mood for black. I think what they say about colours of one's outfit speaking about their mood is true.

I placed the dress on my bed beside the undies I picked out.
I took off my bathrobe and applied moisturizer, oil perfume, body mist before dressing up.
I picked up my phone from my reading table and put inside the black purse that lay carelessly on a bean bag in front of my window.

Powder.
Cherry pink lipgloss.
Eyeshadow.
Mascara.
Necklace.
Earring.
Perfume.
My favourite Chanel watch and I was almost done.

I picked a black sandal from my closet and I was done.

“Rhys! If you spend five more minutes in your room, you'll walk to the Kings!” mom yelled from her room.

Shawn chuckled, “You are not even done yet. Bullying the poor child”

I stood in front of my mirror with a smile. My newly made gold braids were styled into two buns in front and the back was left to cascade down to my waist.

“Wees” GG barged in holding a light blue princess dress and silver heels.
Mom had done her hair into two puffs. It was stylish and made her at least ten times cuter.
There was a silver tiara on the crown of her head.
Why so extra? I thought this was just dinner.
She dumped the clothing in her hands on my bed.
She was wearing light blue panties.

“You look hot” I teased.
Tiara and panties. My sister is indeed a hot stuff.

“I don't have time for this” she said maturely. “Please, dress me”

Silly child.
I helped her into her dress and helped her buckle her shoe.

“You two done yet?” Shawn asked leaning against the frame of my open door.

“You look lovely, princess” Shawn stared at GG with a tender look.

“Tantuu” she twirled and giggled.

“You too Rhys” he smiled at me.

“Thank you” I did a small princess bow. “You don't look bad yourself”

“Yeah, I noticed” he said proudly.
Cocky much.
“Come on girls”

While GG followed Shawn I stayed back to take a look at my WhatsApp for any info.
I saw a number of notifications from the group ‘Adventure Crew’.
Gold was the one who created the group and gave it that silly name.

Jake: Anybody heard any news about Abel?

Davis: Nope

Gold: Nope

Davis: I thought he spent the night at Elijah's place 🤔

Elijah: He stayed at my place only Friday night. He went back home yesterday evening.

Gold: Is he going to be fine all by himself after what happened with Paul?
