CHAPTER 27 | Blade |

TW: Depression, Self-harm

I immediately checked my email and replied my availability for the book signing. Well, not the traditional book signing where in I’ll face and talk to my readers. I’ just have to go to their publishing company and signed the books that I need to.

The first book I’ve wrote after everything that happened to my life. Lost In The Weather, iyon ang title ng libro. It talks about a girl who was lost after the fast changing speed of a weather. Changes that brought her to a life with happiness and hope.

I wrote that story and poured my heart on it. I just didn’t expect that it would become relatable to everyone that it immediately caught attention.

Callme Luxury

A pen and a book? See you soon!

Of course, my readers will have a clue of what my post is all about. I also promised them that I will sign many books as I can para mas marami ang makatanggap ng signed copies.

He video called me early in the morning!

“Hey,” ani ko, inaantok pa. He’s looking fresh at mukhang tapos na sa morning routines niya. This guy is really a morning person.

“Chantal! How are you?” Most people I know here call me by my first name, Thalia.

“Well, I’m fine. But busy,” ani ko. Napasulyap ako sa ’king study table. I stayed up late again last night.

“Sa Friday holiday, you want to join us? We’re doing a road trip with the squad?” aniya na ipinakita pa ang mga kaibigan niya sa background. They are a loud and large group of friends.

“Hi!” KC greeted me on the phone. He also has a brother, na makulit din kagaya ni Zion.

“Uy, sino ’yan babae mo?”

“Kuya, shut up!” KC hissed.

“Pinsan ko ’to bobo!” Zion’s fowl response.

“I don’t think I can join with you. Tatawagan ko rin kasi si, Papa at baka umuwi ako this weekend to visit him. Alam mo namang nagtatampo na sa ’kin ’yon dahil hindi ako umuuwi sa ’min.”

“Right, he even called me once na pauwiin ka raw. Maybe this weekend, we’re having a long weekend.” Tumango ako kay Zion.

“I’m sorry I can’t join,” I smiled at him.

“Hmm? Forgiven? But you have to visit Trivino University para makabayad ka sa ’kin,” aniya.

“Come on? Ano naman ang gagawin ko sa University n’yo?”

“Just a visit.”

“Okay, goodbye Cuz,” he said before dropping the call. Zion’s been so responsible of me, no one asked him but he did. He always calls me from time to time and never forget to ask me if I want to join their group.

I did my mourning rituals and proceed to the University. Today, I’m wearing my usual highwaisted jeans and white top partnered with white sneakers. I also bunned my hair and pulled some strands
in front to make it look messy.
