CHAPTER 48 | Boyfriend |

"Nakakainis sina Seri at Chloe!" reklamo ko kay Yijin habang pinaglalaruan ang mga maliliit na bato sa 'king paanan. Pareho kaming nakaupo sa buhangin at nakaharap sa dagat. "Gano'n na ba 'ko ka-hopeless romantic para sa kanila?" dagdag ko. Yijin chuckled and sneak his arm on my shoulder. Nakasimangot ko siyang tiningnan.

"Dati pa man, you look like someone who's not interested into relationships." Natawa ako sa sinabi niya, kung alam niya lang kung paano namin siya pag-usapan nina Seri noon. I cringe at myself how much I fantasize and assume things before with him.

"I'm about to tell them kanina about our relationship but they cut me off with those words!"

"It's fine po, I can wait. . . and there's a lot of chance to tell them tomorrow." I stared longer at him, it's not my intention to keep this relationship a secret. I just want to surprise my friends but my excitement for that is now lost. Pakiramdam ko kasi ay itinatago ko si Yijin, ayoko ring isipin niya na ikinakahiya ko siya o ano pa. That is not true, I even want to shout to everyone that he's my boyfriend!

"What are your thoughts?" tanong niya, matagal akong napatitig sa kanya kaya siguro napatanong na siya.

"What are you feeling right now about this set-up? Na our friends doesn't know about us." Kumunot ang noo niya, umayos siya sa pag-upo at hinawakan ang kamay ko.

"What do you mean?"

"You're not offended, feeling down or something? Kasi hindi ko pa nasasabi na t-tayo na?" He stared longer at me this time, hindi ko kaya ang  titig niya kaya ako na ang napaiwas.

"Chantal, this is not a big deal for me. I clearly understand everything," he said warmly. "It's actually fun to observe their clueless reactions about us. But of course, I want to tell them that we are together now. Really. But as much as I want it, me waiting for the time when you will say it to them is much bigger deal for me." Something inside me felt so light after hearing what he said. Napangiti ako at napanatag.

"I love you, Yijin." I can't help myself but to utter those words. Everyday, he never failed to make me fall in love with him more. He was clearly stunned, his lower lip dropped and I can't help but to smile.

"You, I love you too," he said breathily. He looked at my lips and from that moment, I know why my heart is beating so fast and crazy. Unti-unti siyang lumapit sa 'kin, it's like we have more distance to share than how close we are right now to each other.

He angled his face and I slowly closed my eyes. A single beat from my heart and his gentle lips touch mine.

It feels like feathers are floating, his kiss is similar to a pink sky. . . it gives me solace.

Kinakabahan ako habang pabalik sa room namin. Na-i-imagine ko na ang mga mukha nina Chloe at Seri, siguradong naghahanda na sila ng korte para sa 'kin upang kilatisin ako. The thought bahala na came into my mind, but to my dissapointment. . . pagpasok ko sa room namin ay tulog na silang tatlo! Napailing na lang ako, siguradong pagod na pagod ang mga 'to sa araw nila kaya agad na nakatulog.

Nag-text ako saglit kay Yijin bago nagpalit ng pajama at naghilamos, maaga pa kami bukas kaya agad na rin naman akong natulog pagkatapos mag-check ng emails saglit.

Cruzel's bride is so pretty! I was really stunned the first time I saw her this morning for the photoshoot. We woke up so early to prepare and I was introduced to her just this morning. And now, she's now walking slowly in the aisle with Cruzel waiting on her. He's crying that his father needs to tap him. Natatawa tuloy ang katabi kong si Klint sa kanya.

Seri is beside me as well, kasama si Yorrick. Nasa kabilang side naman sina Yijin at Rio kaya hanggang tinginan lang muna kami.

Noon pa man, gustong-gusto ko na ang ganitong mga events. I love engagement parties and weddings so much! I'm always a fan of romance and love stories, and every time I witness genuine love it makes me so happy and amazed by it. Just like now, sino ba naman ang mag-aakala na sa circle of friend namin noon, si Cruzel ang unang ikakasal. . . I still remember how stress Chloe was sa rami ng babaeng nali-link kay Cruzel noon, and that includes me.
