"I don't believe it!" Me and Rory exclaim as we stand outside of the gates to Harvard.

Me and Rory had wanted to go to Harvard since we were little. Unfortunately, when I got pregnant, that dream went out the window. But it was so worth it. To wake up and say that I have two little girls, is amazing.

"Believe it, cause there it is." Mom tells us

"Harvard university. It look just like the pictures." Rory states

"Beautiful."

"What are we doing here?" I ask

"We are beholding your future." Mom tells Rory and I can't help but look a bit sad. I think mom notices as she takes my hand in hers.

"It's big." Rory smiles

"You have a big future. Both of you." Mom says

"I can't believe it. I'm actually standing outside of Harvard."

"Come on." Mom commands as I start to push the stroller.

"Wait, come on where?" I question, confused.

"Inside." Mom replies

"We can't go inside." Rory states

"Why? Is there a force field around the place?" Mom jokes

"This is Harvard." I point out

"I know."

"This is Harvard." I repeat, hoping mom would catch on.

"I know."

"You can't just go inside. You need a guide." Rory tells mom

"I'll be your guide."

"What do you know about Harvard?" I laugh

"I know this: look - there's Harvard." Mom states the obvious.

"Mom..."

"Hey, don't you want to see it? The place where you'll be living and studying and developing very naive but pretentious world views that will come crashing down the minute you graduate?" Mom asks Rory

"Yeah, I do." Rory admits with a huge smile on her face.

"So?" Mom pauses, waiting for an answer.

"Come on. You know you want to. I do." I encourage Rory.

"Harvard." She mumbles and agrees as we walk through the arched gate.

"Wow! Harvard is over 300 years old." Mom exclaims as she reads a pamphlet.

"Founded in 1636." I state

"That means that almost everyone who ever went to Harvard is dead. Are you sure you still wanna go here?" Mom asks

"Yes, I'm sure." Rory says

"They developed the pacemaker here - also discovered how electromagnetism and radioactivity are two manifestations of the same force and postulated existence of a charmed quark. I was wondering who did that." Mom continues to read.

"The smarties at Harvard." Rory replies

"Holy smokes! They get an average of 18,000 applicants every year, and only 2,000 get in - not good odds."

"Mom!" Rory exclaims

"No, you're different." Mom pauses. "Past graduates - Henry James. Isn't that a beer?"

"And a novelist. Go on." I add

"John adams - that's a Beer."

"Our second president. He's very 'in' right now." Rory explains
