The 24th dance marathon was being hosted. Technically, for 24 hours straight, people dance non stop.

Due to me being 32 weeks pregnant, and having two kids, me and Tristan couldn't participate. Instead, we were just going to watch.

Mom had found a dance partner, Stanley, but his wife had found a picture of mom and told Stanley that he couldn't do it with mom.

Rory was doing the same thing with dean. They were both going to sit and watch.

"Well?" I ask lane.

"Still ringing." She tells us

Me, Tristan, Rory, Dean and lane were all in the living room at moms and Rory's.

Lane was calling Dave, and was really nervous to do it.

Me and Tristan were sat on the floor whilst the girls just laid on their stomachs playing.
He was leaning against the couch whilst I was leaning against him. Mine and his hand in my bump where the baby was kicking.

We had discussed names for the little one and we think we've settled on one.

Tristan and dean were just there for the hell of it.

"He's home." Lane states

"How'd he sound?" Rory asks

"Homey."

"I know this is a stupid question, but why can't you just talk to him?" Tristan questions lane

"Because yesterday he called to say that they were still looking for a rehearsal space and that he'd call when he had more news, so now I have to wait until he calls. In between, I call and hang up on him — pathetic." Lane explains

"Not so pathetic. I used to hang up on dean all the time." Rory says

"You did?"

"I remember that." Lane laughs.

"I do too." I agree

"When did you hang up on me?" Dean asks Rory

"When we first met." Rory responds

"You should have just said something."

"I couldn't."

"Because then you would have known that I liked you." Rory justifies

"Yes, but I liked you, too." Dean points out

"I know that now."

"You could have known that then."

"Dean, this is a girl thing. Talk to Tristan." Rory suggests

"Tell me when I'm supposed to pay attention again." Dean turns to face Tristan.

"I'm gonna love him forever, and he'll never know it." Lane exaggerates

"He would if you coughed." Dean mutters

"Dean!"

"At least he's at home and not out with a girl." Lane points out

"Very true." I say

"He could be home with a girl." Dean whispers

"Dean!" Rory repeats

"Sitting here, starting at my pizza."

"You think he was at home with a girl?" Lane asks

"No, I don't." I reassure her

"I'm gonna call again." Lane tells us

"Good idea. Pay attention to the background noise this time." Rory suggests

"Oh, cool — pizza." Mom walks in and sits on the couch.

"Ssh! She's calling Dave to see if she can hear a girl." Rory explains to mom

"I voted that she actually say something." Dean speaks up

"You're a Boy. You know nothing about this." Mom smiles

"Well, what did you hear?" I question lane

"Quadrophenia." Lane replies

"Classy, but not date like." I say

"You think?"

"Definitely." Rory also agrees

"What if he met a girl who's a major who fan?" Dean states

"What? Why are you causing trouble?" Rory hits Dean

"Rory, tori, can I talk to you in the kitchen?" Mom asks us

"I can but only if you help me get up." I smile at mom as I couldn't get up by myself. She laughs and helps me up before we make our way to the kitchen.

"Okay, so, what's on your mind?" Rory questions

"I think I figured out who can be my dance partner for the marathon." Mom giggles

"Great! Who?" I enquire and mom just stares at me and Rory.

"Bye." Rory says and goes to get up whilst I just laugh, knowing that I had a major advantage.

"Come on!" Mom encourages her

"Forget it."

"Just hear me out. First of all — you love me." Mom begins

"Not right at this moment."

"You know how much this means to me. You'd never fall asleep or chase a pie." Mom points out

"I do not dance."

"It'll be fun. We'll get dressed up. You're light — easy to hold up when you get tired. Plus we got the whole mother daughter gimmick." Mom continues

"I cannot dance with you. Why can't tori do it with you?" Rory looks at me

"She's not doing it because she's seven and a half months pregnant. I'm not having my grandson come two months early."

"I'm not doing it." Rory refuses

"Why not?" Mom complains

"Because this is deans first marathon. We were gonna watch and hang out. He looking forward to it. I told him about how Andrew gets in a fight with his date in the first fifteen minutes and storms off the floor. I told him about Taylor getting punch drunk at hour fifteen and telling stories about how he always wanted to be a magician. And I told him about how when Kirk wins, he likes to take his victory lap to the theme from 'rocky.' I was gonna show him all those things sitting down." Rory justifies

"He can still come and see all those things, except if you dance, maybe that victory lap will be you and me instead of Kirk." Mom persuaded her

"Okay, I tell you what — I was supposed to work on the Franklin with Paris. I will ask her if we can reschedule. If she says yes, then I will dance with you." Rory agrees

"Oh, I love ya!" Mom exclaims and hugs rory

"You should sell cars." I joke

"I should, shouldn't I? Hello, big, fancy trophy." Mom laughs

"You have to be there too though. To watch, and not midway through it. You have to be there at 6:00." Rory points at me

"Oh what a good sister you are. Making your pregnant sister wake up at 6:00 just to watch her mother and sister dance." I say sarcastically

"See you at 6:00!"
