"I heard you saw mom in action." Mom hears Rory say as she walks back into the living room. I follow her to the living room.
"Oh, yes, he did." Mom replies, annoyed.
"She's great, isn't she?" Rory asks grandpa
"She's, um... spirited." Grandpa states
"Spirited." Mom repeats
"Spirited is nice." Rory tries to make it positive. That's one of the best things about Rory's personality, she always tries to make things positive.
"Hey, uh, let's talk dinner. How about Chinese? I fancy Chinese." I try to change the subject.
"Very spirited food." Mom says
"Do you like Chinese food?" I question grandpa
"If prepared properly, I like it very much." Grandpa explains
"I'll go call Al's." Mom wonders back into the kitchen.
"Al's?" Grandpa asks
"Al's pancake world." Rory explains to him.
"I thought you said we were having Chinese food." Grandpa states
"Al's has the best egg foo yong in stars hollow." Mom justifies
"Is that saying, um... anything?" Grandpa says, which clearly annoys mom.
"Girls, come entertain your grandpa while your spirited mommy orders, please." Mom pleads
"I'm going to go get the girls from their nap. I'll be two minutes." I say, escaping from having to entertain grandpa.
"Oh, my god!" I hear Rory exclaim as I walk back inside with Mia in my left arm. I had to give her to mom so I could get Charlie. It was hard with two babies and then crutches.
"Who is it?" I question
"Oh, my god!" Rory repeats and runs outside.
"Oh, my god!" I exclaim as we go outside.
Dean was stood with a car outside. Rory had explained to me and mom that Dean was building her a car. It was a beautiful car. Dena did an amazing job on it.
"What are you doing?" Rory says, happily.
"Just standing here." Dean replies, smiling back.
"Next to?" Rory continues
"A car — your car."
"No!" Rory denies
"I finished it yesterday. Do you want them?" Dean holds up a set of keys.
"Aah!" Rory runs down the steps and hugs Dean.
"Now, if you don't like it, I can sell it to someone else." Dean explains
"Don't you dare!"
"Dean that's amazing." Mom compliments him
"Let's drive! Can we drive? Does it drive?" Rory exclaims
"Does it drive?" Dean repeats
"I know it drives, but — oh, my god. I can't believe you finished it! You built me a car!"
"Dean, now that you've done with that, will you build me a plane — one that looks like shamu?" Mom jokes
"He made that car?" Grandpa questions
"Isn't that incredible?" I ask, it really was incredible.
"She can't accept it." Grandpa states
"Oh, dad, it's okay."
