"I have to say for a couple of modern girls, we have time warped with the best of them." Mom says.

Her and Rory had dressed all up for the marathon. Me, however, hadn't. One, because I'm not dancing, two, because none of my normal clothes fit me.

"We sure have." Rory mutters, she was still a bit tired but I was exhausted. I was near enough asleep on moms shoulder.

"How you doing there champ?" Mom asks me

"Early." I respond

"Yes, it's a tad early." Mom admits

"No sun." I state

"Well, he's not up yet."

"I can't even open my eyes." I reveal

"That's okay. There's nothing to see. Kirk's in a Speedo, Taylor's in a skirt, Al's in assless chaps." Mom lies

"I'm so tired that I don't even care if that imagine is in my head now." I explain

"Oh, hon." Mom kisses the side of my head.

"It's because of you." I try to point at Rory but because my eyes were still closed, I end up pointing at some random person. Mom then grabs my hand and actually points it to Rory. "If it wasn't for you, I would still be in bed."

"Morning, Babette." Mom greets her

"Morning sugar. You guys look terrific." Babette compliments mom and Rory.

"I'm going to go inside and get a seat."

I then see mom and Rory enter the hall so I go up and talk to them. Just as I do, Taylor announces that everyone has three minutes left.

"I believe three minutes is plenty of time for some coffee." Mom says

"Yes, coffee, please." Rory begs

"Hey, we're dying. Load us up." Mom commands Luke

"It isn't ready yet." Luke reveals

"What?" Mom questions. "It's 6:00 in the morning. Nothing says coffee like 6:00 in the morning."

"How do you think I've felt over the last 7 months?" I mutter.

"You did not get this from me." Luke hands mom a big flask, which I'm guessing was filled with coffee.

"Then who do we send our kisses of gratitude to?" Mom jokes

"The eternal question asked yet again."

"Thanks luke." Rory says. "Strong."

Mom then sniffs hers. "Hello."

"Can I not just have one sip?" I ask

"No." Mom immediately says

"Please. Like you said, nothing screams coffee at 6:00 in the morning." I point out

"Fine." Mom gives in and passes me the cup.

"Alright, folks, everyone of the floor. We're two minutes away, I repeat... everybody on the floor. We are two minutes away." Taylor announces.

"Good luck." I turn to face mom and Rory.

"Thanks, hon."

"Do I have to be here all day?" I ask Rory

"Yes."

"You are a cruel sister, do you know that?" I question her

"Indeed I am."

"At least you know you are. Now, go have fun dancing for a whole entire day." I laugh

"Well, thanks." She says sarcastically as her and mom go find a place on the dance floor and I go back to the bleachers.
