Part 28 Lin Fan's Confused? [1]

On a small green bed inside a studio apartment, Lin Fan stared upward at a spinning fan in confusion.

"Why wasn't my concubine Xu Ruo present at Beauty Heaven or my wife Shu Ling?"

He spoke to himself with question marks appearing around his face.

After taking a taxi to Beauty Heaven from the train station he found himself shocked when he learned that Xu Ruo hadn't checked in...

At first, Lin Fan was worried that something might have happened to his concubine.

But the receptionist told Lin Fan, Xu Ruo had to do something for their president and that's why she hadn't checked in.

Lin Fan at the time felt his eyes glow slightly as he forgot all about Xu Ruo and instead asked what the president looked like which the receptionist looked at him weirdly for a couple of seconds before pulling up a picture online which she then showed him.

Seeing such a beautiful woman, Lin Fan didn't care about Xu Ruo and instead downgraded her to a concubine and replaced her status with Shu Ling as his wife.

He wanted to meet Shu Ling immediately but was rejected instantly.

This of course caused a plot scenario where Lin Fan demanded to see Shu Ling and spoke proudly of how he is just an average man trying to find a job.

The receptionist denied his request causing Lin Fan to become enraged as he spits in her face.

The receptionist called for security just for them to get battered to the ground by Lin Fan who showed a cocky smile.

At this point, Shu Ling should have made an appearance and admired Lin Fan's fighting skills, and hired him as a small security guard.

But, because Shu Ling was at her parents' villa with the Gu family, she wasn't present.

Deeming this plot scenario useless...

At some point, Lin Fan found out his wife wasn't present so he arrogantly left while cursing under his breath.

Seeing it was late Lin Fan decided to rent a studio apartment and rest.

He had a simple plan in mind...

Once it hits morning, he'll head over to Beauty Heaven and put in an official job request, and slowly get closer to Shu Ling as he shows off his power to court her.

Once he makes Shu Ling his woman he would have full control over the Shu group where he then can move on to the next woman and keep adding to his influence.

So, currently, Lin Fan was happy but at the same time confused...

"This doesn't make sense... No female with influence has even made contact with me yet... In the middle east, I had women fighting over me and always bowing to me..."

"Ever since I returned I feel like something is off... I don't know why, I just have this bad feeling..."

Lin Fan talked to himself with a frown on his face.

Shaking his head, he slapped himself lightly on the face as he shot up from the small green bed.

"What the hell am I thinking? I am the Emperor of Luck! How could something bad happen to me!?"

Suddenly his ears twitched when he heard his neighbor's door click open from the other side of his wall.

Of course, being a cultivator he had powerful hearing so he could easily hear the click.

Suddenly, a lustful expression was on his handsome face.
