Wu Kuang's eyebrows raised as he listened to the golden spirit who warned him about a man named Gu Xia.

"Why should I avoid this guy named Gu Xia?"

He asked a simple question with no malice present in his voice.

"Gu Xia will be your downfall and the cause of your death..."

The golden spirit answered in a whisper.

"Me? This random guy would kill me...? If you didn't know, I'm a genius in medical arts. I'm pretty invincible."

Wu Kuang laughed, obviously not taking the words of the golden spirit seriously.

"I see, you have chosen death as your path... And arrogance will be the one that leads you down that path."

The golden spirit muttered to itself.

Wu Kuang, who didn't hear what was said, yawned as he stretched his arms back, relaxing his body in the lake.

"Sorry, what did you say?"

"Nothing, well... Whatever, if you don't want to take my warning seriously I'll just give you permission to hold our supreme healing power."

The golden spirit made a tiny whistle sound.

Suddenly thousands if not tens of thousands of golden spirits surrounded Wu Kuang's body.

Before he could open his mouth to question what they were about to do...

All of the golden spirits began glowing, and a second later they all entered Wu Kuang's body.

His eyes began to glow and his entire body turned golden for a couple of seconds before returning back to his mortal flesh.

"...A-Amazing... I received the immortal flesh... I'm a demi-human! Wh-what's this? I gained the knowledge of the medical God!?"

Standing up in a hurry, the medical protagonist at that moment felt like he was a god-like figure.

Without wasting any time he got dressed in his robe and left the cave without even thanking the golden spirits who of course took notice of this...

After a couple of minutes of dashing through the air, Wu Kuang exited the cave with a giant smile on his handsome white face.

"Master! I was given permission by the golden spirits!"

He told his master with excitement.

Hearing this, the old man who was meditating opened his eyes and stood up in a heartbeat.

He disappeared from where he was standing and appeared right in front of his disciple.

The next moment he embraced the young man who he had taken in as his own son from the poor orphanage.

"I'm so proud of you, Wu Kuang."

He whispered these words, desperately holding back his tears.

Wu Kuang began tearing up at his master's words, he hugged him back.

"Tha-Thank you, master... If it wasn't for you... I would still be rotting in that orphanage."

After a little while, the old man released his disciple and took a step back.

"Congratulations, you've passed your test."

Wu Kaung wiped his eyes, confusion was clearly shown on his face.

"What do you mean, master? Don't I have other tests?"

The old man let out a chuckle.

"Nope! There were only two tests! I'll now allow you to head down the mountain! Make me proud, son!"
