"*huff* it is so fucking hot! Mimo can you turn into a fan or a cooler, I feel like I'm melting." Y/n dreads the blazing heat of the desert, complaining to her companion who can only block the sun for her face.
It was her first time in the far desert of Sumeru and navigating around it was made possible by Nahida's guidance. From a distance, she saw a small oasis that immediately gave her a bit of hope and energy to keep moving.
Running to the water and splashing her face gave her a sense of relief from the heat. Thanks to her item box her water didn't change in temperature and stayed as if it was buried in snow for a few minutes.
"*haa* Damn I'm craving some cola right now. Damnit I should've recreated that first since I'm opening a fast food resto anyway." Y/n mutters as she took shade under Mimo.
She checked the special compass that Nahida gave her and opened her map to see where she was. She had been opening a few waypoints on the way in case she needs to return to the desert though she claims to herself to never set foot here again after she rescues the Wanderer from his predicament.
"Mi, mi!"
[Master, more rest?]
"No, it's better if we hurry. Wanderpets might be in danger." Y/n says, standing up and dusting off the sand in her clothes with a determined look. Taking the compass she began to walk among the endless sand of the desert.
"Mi, mi!"
[Master, rest! Need!]
"I'm not resting yet Mimo. We need to find baby girl first." Y/n replied whilst she looks at the compass when suddenly the arrows began to spin violently without aim.
She raised a brow and tried to shake it and smack it against her hand but it still continued to spin aimlessly.
"Mi!"
[MASTER LOOKOUT!]
The ground began to rumble and the sand beneath her feet felt like quicksand. Y/n reached out to her hand as Mimo tried its best to pull her up, only to be sucked in with its master.
Y/n held her breath as she was being swallowed and the next thing she knew is that she was somewhere underground with little to no lighting.
"Mi!"
[Master, hurt?]
"*blegh* I'm fine but *pfft* I got sand in my mouth ugh. Anyway, can you tell where we are?" Y/n asked as Mimo scanned the area around them and told her it had no idea where they were.
Y/n opened the compass and it was still spinning around so she decided to put it away. Lighting a match and picking up an unlit torch she used it to light her way but the first thing she saw was a big statue of a cat-like person that seems to be guarding a tomb.
"This reminds me of Anubis from Egypt. I wonder whose grave this is. *gasp* Perhaps there are treasures here." Y/m muttered as she looks around the area.
