"Like I said, your teacher was biased earlier. I'll complain to the principal later. You..." Estella kept rambling on about how Y/n's teacher was biased during their meeting earlier.

Huh? Aren't I dead? Is this my life flashing before my eyes? No, that's impossible, I know that I already died so maybe I'm in heaven.

"Y/n?" Estella asked but Y/n was unresponsive and was pondering about something.

My hands, they look so small. I also feel so short.

Y/n ran to a nearby shop and looked at her reflection and saw herself younger. She caressed her face in disbelief.

"What's wrong, my little shooting star? Is there something on your face?" Y/n's mother asked as she knelt to her level and loved at their reflection on the glass wall.

"How old am I today, mom?" Y/n asked which left Estell confused but still answered her. Y/n was 8 years old again.

Y/n began to shed tears which made her mother worry. She hugged her and clung to Estella as they were now reunited at last after death. Nothing else matters to Y/n now she can be at peace knowing that her mother will be with her.

But is it really just the afterlife?

After crying her heart out, Y/n and her mother decided to go eat ice cream. The sweet and cold food glazed over her tongue. Y/n never knew that heaven would feel like earth.

As they walked along the sidewalk, Y/n was retelling her Teyvat journey to her mother who simply regarded it as Y/n's imagination.

"I was also surprised when I found out that mom also went to Teyvat. Even though we did not meet there, I'm glad that I'm with you again." Y/n says with the widest smile she could ever give.

"Y/n, ever since earlier you've been talking as if you just died and went to heaven or something. Did something happen at school? Did that teacher bully you too? Come on, tell Mom what happened." Estella says with concern for her young daughter.

"I'm fine Mom, really. I'm just happy to be with you again. Hehe." Y/n says which only makes her mother sigh and smile at her lovely daughter.

As they continued their walk, her mother suddenly saw a young boy crossing the street when a truck seemed to be moving at a fast pace.

"Y/n dear hold this for Mom, okay?" Estella asked as she handed her ice cream cone to Y/n. A sense of deja vu hits Y/n. She looked around and noticed what her mother's intentions were.

She dropped the ice cream cones in her hand and ran after her mother. She remembered now, when she was eight, her mother died after saving a boy.

How could this be happening? Is this just my memory replaying now that I'm dead? No, everything's been strange. Everything feels so real as if I've regressed before the time my mother died. If that's the case, I can't let mother die again.
