"What?!" Y/n exclaimed upon hearing that their enemies weren't humans.

"I don't know how to explain but these are phantom clones. They can touch you but you can't fully touch them. They're Dottore's awful creations. It's best that we run. Hold on tight." The Wanderer says as he picks Y/n in a bridal carry and zooms past the clones and out of the city.

The clones also seem to know how to fly and follow them behind. Y/n loaded her gun and began to shoot them down. Normally, ordinary guns won't touch them but since her bullets are imbued with element-nullification she was able to hit them and managed to kill a few but still many were following behind.

"What do we do now? I don't have enough bullets for all of them." Y/n asked as they soared through the sky.

"Just save some of your bullets for emergencies." The Wanderer says while firmly holding her through the sky.

*pew*

Bullet-like beams shot by and managed to wound his cheek. Their enemies began to fight back by imitating Y/n's attacks. Y/n focused on shooting more enemies as the Wanderer was having a hard time dodging with her in his hands.

*pew*

His hand got shot, his grip loosened and his hold was strained. He cursed under his breath as he struggled to dodge while Y/n was shooting back at the enemies.

*pew*

His other hand also got shot and he had let her go. Y/n gasped and watched the Wanderer desperately reach for her while his hands bled from the gunshots. Falling down seemed to go in slow motion, and Y/n began to tear up as she reached her hand. But before he could reach her hand, the enemy was quick to snatch her away.

"Damn it!" The Wanderer exclaimed as he zoomed through the sky in a desperate attempt to reach for Y/n but suddenly the enemies vanished as if they never existed. The only thing that he could see was a falling gun that was embellished with a gold ornament. He watched it and clenched in frustration for being unable to save Y/n.

With no choice left, he decided to retreat back to the city and to their house only to find it all messy and destructed. Sirius was outside, all anxious and worried for his master. When he saw the Wanderer all alone his expression turned grim.

"Where's Y/n?" Sirius asked but the Wanderer could only present the gun she left behind. Sirius got furious and grabbed him by the collar asking him why he let the enemies take Y/n.

The Wanderer grabbed Sirius' arm and silently asked him to let go but blinded by anger and regret, Sirius tightened his grip and shook him while he shouted at the Wanderer for being careless.

The Wanderer grits his teeth, grabs Sirius by the clothes, and throws him across the living room. Wanderer bolted, picked him up, and pinned him on the wall as he looked at him with anger in his eyes.
