'you're not sad?' he would ask, and you'd say 'yes' and then he'd be really confused.

one time you were walking together and he had tripped into a muddy puddle, you had first laughed, but only a little, and when he noticed you laughed he got a little sulky, you felt bad so you asked him if he was okay.
he said 'I have the biggest broken heart' while holding his chest, and being covered in mud.
