a sunny day in Brooklyn New York.

you were getting ready.
ready for what? you may ask.

well, you were getting ready for a date.

you were asked out a couple of days ago, at school.
by a boy you sort of liked.
miles morales.

what happened was that when school was over, you had miles pull you to the side of a not-so-crowded hallway.
he was nervous, but it was clear he kept trying to be confident and flirty.
he was failing.
but it was a cute attempt.

he asked you if you wanted to go on a 'date' with him.
it was clear for everyone that he's always had a crush on you, I mean even you knew he liked you.
but you weren't so great with talking to people, you've always wanted to find an opportunity to talk to him, but when you built up courage, he would rush away because he couldn't function properly around you.
when you found out he liked you, you started gaining feelings back.
but you two didn't have well enough confidence or connection to talk to eachother.
until he asked you out.
and you said yes.
you were going to take an opportunity to know him.

you out on some of your nice clothes.
something casual but something also appropriate.

and with that, you grabbed your wallet and house keys, heading on to your date.

where was the date?
well it was at an aquarium.
in Brooklyn, a new aquarium was opening up.
miles thought it would be a nice place to take you, since it's new, you've never been there.
and nether has he.
so you both can have a nice experience.
where it's hopefully not boring.

the aquarium just opened this morning.
it was pretty crowded, you knew that.
but you guys had tickets on getting in, so you don't have to worry about any of the struggles.

the aquarium was just a 5 minute walk away from your home.
and you were going to meet miles there.

while walking down the street, you spot the new building in the city, it was pretty tall, it was towering over the other buildings around.

you finally arrived.

the main entrance was crowded with many people outside.

you sigh, furrowing an eyebrow.
how are you gonna find miles in this place?
you pull out your phone to text miles, but before you could even unlock it, you hear a voice call for you.

"y/n! hey-augh!-" you hear the familiar voice sort of 'scream' at the end of the sentence.
and you weren't even able to turn your head over to the direction of the voice before being shoved over to the ground.

you groan, sitting up halfway, using your elbows for support of your upper body.
you open your eyes, looking up.

was on top of you.
his hands your on each side of you, and his leg was in between your leg.
you began to blush.
"oh- im sorry aha-...I tripped!-" he kept trying to find words to say while quickly picking himself up.
"uuhhh..." you couldn't even respond, like a broken robot.
you take a deep breath, trying to calm down the redness in your cheeks.
you see a hand being held out for you.
you see miles nervous face, smiling down at you awkwardly.
you take his hand, as he lifts you up off the ground.
you saw his show laces were untied.
so clearly he tripped over those.
he never ties his shoes.
it's weird, but you ignore it for the most part.
