I just said that I'm not into special chapters, but I guess it's not that bad to create one? Enjoy reading! :))

SPECIAL CHAPTER

WE HAD PROPER goodbyes, but I guess, everything just sucks. Maayos naman kaming naghiwalay. We closed that part of us. We had a good closure. We forgave each other, so, why does it feel so... disturbing?

Why do I feel like I still have unfinished business with him? After nine freaking long years?

Like, magpakasal ang isa samin. Or magpakasal na siya. Because I’m pretty sure I won’t remarry again.

Now, I felt so disturb while working.

He sent me an invitation which is I really needed to decline. My Kai got sick and I needed to take care of my child.

Naintindihan naman ni Matthias ang hindi ko pagdating sa aming dinner which is I really appreciate.

My children likes the ambiance of the Philippines.

But I guess, I can’t resist my children kaya naman pinagbigyan ko na sila. We decided to stay here in the Philippines. I also enrolled them.

Kapag nagustuhan pa ulit nila, we’re going to stay here for good.

One school year is enough para mapag-isipan nila ang gusto nilang tuluyan. Dito ba sa Pilipinas o sa Greece.

“Ma’am, Mr. Rivera sent you an invitation for dinner.” Kara said while I’m scanning some documents for my business.

“Really? And the details?” I asked without looking at her.

“Ah, Ma’am, actually… text message po itong pinadala ni Mr. Rivera. I think it would be better kung ikaw po ang magbabasa,”

Inabot niya ang phone sakin and there, I saw Matthias’ message.

Good day, Ms. Velasco, I assume that you can still remember the dinner you promised to me? I would like to have a dinner with you somewhere in Tagaytay. There’s this one good restaurant there and I want you to visit it with me if you’re free. I’ll be waiting for your response.

Somewhere in Tagaytay?

Yes, I promised him a dinner dahil nga I cancelled the first one. I know he just wants to catch up or maybe talk about some business, but the messaged he sent feels something more.

“Are you going to accept his invitation, Ma’am?” Kara asked while arching her brow, teasing me.

Binalik ko ang phone ko sakanya.

“Decline it.”

“Huh? Why, Ma’am?” She looked so clueless.

“What's my schedule for this week? May importante ba akong meeting?” I asked without looking at her, making myself busy while signing some sheets.

“Wala naman po, Ma’am. Pero may mga orphanages po kayong nasabihan niyong pupuntahan niyo.”

Oh. That’s enough reason, then.

“Alright. Then, I really need to decline Matthias’ invitation.”

“But—”

“Decline it, Kara. Pakisabi na sa susunod na lang dahil busy pa ako ngayon. I’m also processing our papers from Greece dahil baka sa Pilipinas na lang tayo.”
