I'm really trying to get back into the swing of writing this book because I truly love what I had in mind.
I do feel the end nearing for this book, however, I had 3 planned in total.
If you're a reader, would you like for me to continue? Let me know.
Thanks lovelies!!
"Omg, you will never believe what I found in my boss's office today," Kim giggled as she rummaged through her handbag to find this thing that was so hilarious.
Alyssa and I shared a side glance that contained a thousand words. It had been weeks since Kim told us about this elusive boyfriend she was seeing and he still hadn't made it to the bar. Kim had all kinds of excuses - apparently, he's quite the business traveller - and no matter how many times Alyssa probed for photos, there never seemed to be any.
I glanced around the bar from our regular stools for the smallest of chances of seeing Kingston in the corner, beckoning me towards him with a warm smile.
"What's wrong?" Asked Isaac as he nudged me with his elbow causing my beer to slosh around in its glass.
"Nothing," I shook my head both to quell Isaac's curiosity and to dislodge any fleeting dreams of Kingston.
The happenstance of meeting Georgia a few days ago hadn't exactly filled me with warmth. Between that time, Kingston appeared to be making himself busy at his city studio and subsequently avoiding all chances of running into me.
By the same token, I'd also been making myself as scarce as possible.
"Aha!" Cheered Kim as she whipped out a magazine from her bag of other a flourish that said 'I'm dramatic and I like to be'.
With a fleeting glance at the magazine before returning to his chip basket, Dan asked what was so special about a magazine. His attention focused entirely on the chips as he searched for the crispiest bits.
"Look closer," teased Kim with a lowered voice as she leaned into the table and pushed the magazine forward.
Upon closer inspection, I realised that it wasn't just a magazine but a dirty one with women's asses pushed right up to the camera, their rear ends barely covered in skimpy bikinis.
Alyssa gasped and threw her hands to her mouth.
"No shame on the magazine but why the hell was that in his office!?" She squeaked.
Kim and Isaac exchanged a knowing glance that seemed to say 'I told you so'.
My eyes narrowed.
"Isn't he going to know you took it?" I asked, also turning my attention to Dan's chips.
"Well that's the worst part; there were several. I just grabbed this one because it had the most interesting content."
"Like what? Big boobs and nipple piercings?" Dan chuckled to himself.
"No," Kim giggled, "like '50 Best Sex Positions For You and Your Lover'" she read out in a dramatic voice between chuckles.
"Gimme that," piped Dan as he quickly reached over to take the magazine from Kim's hands. He flicked through the pages until he found the desired one. Upon examining the page, he eyebrows lifted several times in surprise and intrigue.
Alyssa leaned over and there was an unmistakable blush on her cheeks."My favourite is number 23," Kim slipped in as she took a sip from her straw, her smirk only slightly hidden.
Isaac spluttered as he drank and reached for a napkin to cover his face.
