So it took me a billion years longer than promised but here it finally is and I am finally back in the practise of writing again my dudes! Unfortunately chapters won't come out as often as they used to but hopefully we'll start getting somewhere with this story as I actually really want to get it out and start work on book no.2.
Admittedly this chapter is not nearly as thoroughly proof read as I would've liked but it is well and truly past midnight where I am and I wanted to publish this to see what kind of feedback I'd get. It will be edited though don't worry - probably tomorrow when I get back from the gym.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic new year thus far and don't forget to comment your thoughts!!!
All my love,
Charlotte XX
Sitting in mathematics there's a pit in my stomach. I had to do well on this one, I had to give mum something positive to focus on after the mess she'd been in. Our teacher walked around the room slowly, placing papers facedown on the table so no one else would see them but whatshername didn't know was that it makes it that much harder to turn over.
My heart sat in my throat as she came up to my table and gave me a blank look before placing it on my pencil case.
I need to throw up.
I can't look at it. I'd spent the last week studying so hard on this to get an A Star and now I can't even remember what it was about. It was 30% towards our final score and that thought in itself made me want to throw up.
I could feel bile rising in my throat and the tightening in my chest beginning to make me lose control. I took deep breath after deep breath, looking around at my peers to make sure no one was watching me lose control.
"How'd you go?" Asked Lys as she came round to my table. She lifted up my paper and I snatched it from her hand. She watched me with confusion.
"I haven't looked at it yet," I whispered and she nodded slowly, taking the paper gently from my hands and turning it over.
She didn't give away anything as she read and a stabbing pain made itself known in the pit of my stomach. I lurched forward in pain and jumped up to run out of the class room.
The edges of my vision took on a shiny appearance as I crouched outside the bathrooms in the freezing cold air. My head was pounding and my chest was constricting around my lungs as I gasped for breath after breath.
My stomach clenched furiously and I darted forward towards the bathroom and was sick in the sink. I fumbled for the tap to turn on as my stomach convulsed again and I retched into the drain.
I splashed some water on my face to calm my boiling hot cheeks.
"Alexis?" came a sweet voice and I coughed before turning around, tears streaming down my cheeks from the lack of air.
Miss Klean stood by the door, shock written all over her face. She walked forwards slowly and gently placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, sorry, I'll go back to class in a second," I choked out as I cupped my hand to bring water into my mouth.
"What's going on, Alex?" she asked as we walked out of the bathrooms and made our way slowly back to the classroom.
I deliberated for a bit. I didn't want to tell her. She didn't need to know. This was my business and no one else really needed to know about it.
