Prompt / post 4x18 Tk finds out about his uncle Robert DarrianMarks

Their honeymoon wasn't what they had expected it to be especially after Gabriel's passing cars were still grieving so they used their honeymoon as a time to share stories of Gabriel and it helped Carlos a lot

When they returned home they still had a few days off left to enjoy before they headed back to the real world but the real world came back earlier

Carlos had set out to the grocery store after realizing that they didn't have much food in the house after returning from their trip

So when a knock came at the door to assumed it was one of their friends stopping by to say hi

When he opened the door he saw that it was his dad "Dad I didn't know you were stopping by." Tk smiled " Carlos is out at the supermarket ." Tk said closing the door

"Maybe I should come back later ." Owen said, "Dad what's going on ?" Tk questioned looking at his father

"Your uncle Robert passed the day after the wedding Tk ." Owen said "What?" Tk questioned
" I didn't want to ruin your guy's honeymoon you guys had been through so much I figured it is best to wait.." Owen said softly "Son I'm sorry ." owen said

When Carlos got back from the market Tk helped him get the bags in "What's wrong ?" Carlos asked as Tk put away the milk "Hm?"

"Usually when I come home from the grocery store your jumping on me because you're a golden retriever that loves attention now your just a black cat," Carlos said studying Tk

"Sorry, I - I just don't feel that good I think I might just go lay down for a bit." Tk said exsusing himself

How could he tell Carlos who just lost his father to murder about the passing of his uncle he barely knew .

He barely knew the guy for more then a few months yet his death felt like another stab in his heart right next to all his other traumas

"Yeah - did you want me to make you some soup ?" Carlos asked gently " I'm not very hungry.. Thank you though ." Tk mumbled pulling down the sleeves of his hoodie over his hands
Tk curled up in bed the blanket pulled close to he chest life had put them through so much and Tk was just tired

Carlos did his half of the chore list making sure to he quiet not to disturb tk when his phone rang

"Hey owen what's up?" Carlos asked

Next thing Tk knew Carlos came into the bedroom curling up behind Tk his hand becoming snug on tks stomach

He just let that sit with Tk for a little "I'm sorry about your uncle baby ." Carlos said inter twinning his hand with tks "my dad told you ?" Tk said turning around looking into carlos's brown eyes

"Why didn't you tell me ?" Carlos asked Tk went silent biting the edge of his lip "it's okay.. You can tell me the truth ." Carlos said running his hand through tks hair

"You were going through a lot of stuff with you dad it just - it didn't feel right to cloud your grief with my problems ." Tk said

"Dont put yourself down like that my love ." Carlos said

"I'm right here okay ?" Carlos said giving a nod to Tk " I'm right here baby and I'm always gonna be here whenever you need me." Carlos said

"Why does it hurt so much all the time ?" Tk questioned

" I don't know baby I wish I did. But believe me baby the pain is only temporary." Carlos said running his hand on tks back " were forever ." Carlos said softly

"Cmon you need to eat ." Carlos said dragging Tk out of bed "we can get dim sum ." Carlos said " you could use a spring roll up in you ."Carlos said " hey babe ?" Tk saiid softly " did you mean that ?" Tk asked

"What about spring rolls ?" Carlos questioned

"No about us ... being forever ." Tk asked " of course baby ." Carlos said "your my golden retriever." Carlos teased
