Tarlos goes to New York for the first time together + Tk shows Carlos his favorite places+ Tarlos revisits the kid's conversation (spelling mistakes when Jonah is speaking are intentional )

They laid in bed Tk's head on Carlos's chest which was a common occurrence "Enzo called me today .." Tk said looking up at Carlos "Oh yeah about what ?" Carlos smiled Tk loved Enzo he was a father to him when Owen wasn't there as a child he always had Tk's back

" he wanted to see if I wanted to come down and see baby Jonah .. and I said yes so I was wondering if you would wanna go with me ..?" Tk said

" you don't have to if you don't want to I don't want you to have to use all your Time-" Tk mumbled

"Baby I would love to go to New York with you ." Carlos smiled stroking Tk's cheek

A week later they found themselves knocking on Enzo's door "Tk we missed you !" Enzo said pulling his stepson in for a hug

" ohh and is this the famous Carlos I always hear about !" Enzo smiled at Carlos "Yeah." Tk laughed

" Tk is obsessed with you," Enzo said hugging Carlos

"Hey, Enzo where's Jonah ?" Tk asked looking around "Oh he's in his room I told him to wait there until I can and got him I wanted to surprise him ." Enzo smiled as he walked down the hall to Jonah's room "Jonah someone's here to see you, buddy !" Enzo smiled Jonah peaked his little head out the door when he saw his brother he ran down the hall " Pk!!!" Jonah smiled he couldn't quite say Tk'sk s name yet so PK it is

Jonah ran to tk tk picked him up "Hey buddy ." tk laughed "Hey I want you to meet Carlos ." tk smiled pointing to Carlos "Carlos is tks husband he loves tk very much bud ." enzo smiled "Is he the peace officer ?' jonah asked "yeah buddy ." tk smiled

"hi los!" Jonah smiled "Hey buddy ." Carlos said high fiving the boy

"Pk can we go play Legos?" Jonah said tugging at the hem of Tk's shirt tk looked at Enzo and Carlos the silent question was answered as they both nodded

"go have fun," Carlos said

the younger boy looked a lot like his big brother his eyes a pretty shade of green a bit darker than Tk's his hair slightly curled compared to tks which was straight he both had the same facial expression when they laughed

Carlos helped Enzo into the kitchen "I'm sure you probably hear this a lot but you make him happy ." enzo smiled as Carlos cut vegetables
"plus it's good he has you because that boy can't cook for the life of him ." Enzo laughed Carlos smiled at him "Yeah he gave me food poisoning right after we got back from our honeymoon ." Carlos chuckled "While we're on the topic of the wedding it looked like a beautiful ceremony I wish we could have come ." Enzo said tk came out of Jonah's room closing the door softly " wheres Jonah?" Carlos asked

"he fell asleep ." tk smiled "typical jonah fashion ." Enzo said as Tk laughed "Don't you even laugh I don't think in our whole time together I've got him to stay awake for a whole movie ." Carlos teased "Maybe that's where he gets it from ." Enzo laughed "Since you are both here I wanted to talk to you about something .."

"I think that Jonah needs his big brother around more and I know that you try and come up when you can but he misses you every time you leave -" Enzo states "I know that - but our lives are in Texas we have a house and our jobs our friends - everything there ." Tk says "I know that and I would never ask you to give that up - that's why I've been looking for a place down in Texas.." Enzo said "Wait really ?" tk lit up Carlos couldn't help but smile his husband was so happy if enzo and Jonah were to move that would mean that tk could see Jonah a lot more

"but what about your job ?" tk asked "Luckily healthcare is a diverse field and easy to transfer I already have a place lined up," Enzo said
"that's amazing !" tk smiled hugging his stepdad "Plus I get to see you more and your mother would be happy her boys were together," Enzo said

later that night they all ate dinner and Tk read Jonah his bedtime story Tk came into their room quietly closing the door "Hey." Tk said softly as Carlos looked up from his book "Come here." Carlos said softly opening his arm for Tk to crawl into his favorite spot

Often when Carlos was reading Tk was crawl under his arm and lay on the top of his stomach it was one of the tks favorite ways to be close to Carlos

" you know your brother looks up to you," Carlos said one hand on his book the other raking through Tk's hair
" I doubt that ." Tk laughed " he does he was so happy to see you earlier he's barely left your side since we got here." Carlos smiled " I feel like u left you in the dark today.." tks said looking up at Carlos "No you didn't I had fun ." Carlos smiled "Well tomorrow I'm taking you to all the places you have to go while in New York ." Tk said playing with Carlos's ring "I can't wait for a perfect day with my perfect person ." Carlos said

Their door opened slightly by little hands " Pk?" Jonah called " Los ?" Jonah said again "Hey buddy what's wrong ?" Tk said getting out of bed " I thought you were gonna sleep with me tonight ?" Jonah said, "To protect me from the monsters." Jonah said softly "Sorry I left buddy ." Tk said softly to the young boy's hair " Hey he can sleep in here tonight ." Carlos said putting his book on the nightstand "Yay!" Jonah said climbing on the bed

Tk mouthed "Thank you." to his husband before crawling back into bed not long after the young boy was fast asleep on tks chest "Thank you ." Tk said "You don't have to thank me, baby -" Carlos smiled stroking tks hair " he's always welcome." Carlos said

The next morning Tk snuck back in quietly crawling back into bed as Jonah and Carlos were still asleep

Tk ran his fingers through Carlos's hard "mm." Carlos mumbled coming out of his twilight " I got you something ." Tk smiled "What?" Carlos mumbled, "C'mon sit up ." Tk smiled Carlos rubbed his eyes before sitting up "Here I want you to try this.".Tk said before handing him a cinnamon sugar croissant

Carlos took a bite his confused face turned happy "That's the best thing I've ever tasted what is it ?" Carlos said, "It's my favorite pasty from Lucy's Down the Street." Tk smiled sure enough the smell of the pastry got to Jonah "Oh no the monsters awake ." tk laughed "Los share ." Jonah asked, "Don't worry buddy I got you your favorite ." Tk said getting the other pastry out of the bag and giving it to the little bit "You didn't get one?" Carlos asked, " I'm not hungry ." Tk said softly as the little boy munched on his pastry

Later that day Tk and Carlos went out on the town "Okay so the simple rules are don't bump into people if you don't wanna get killed, pay attention to traffic, and avoid talking to anyone who looks sketchy." Tk said as they walked down the sidewalk in puffer jackets " Are the winters always this cold ?" Carlos asked "You think this is cold ." tk laughed " It's been worse than this ." tk smiled holding Carlos's hand

"Yeah coming from a guy who got hypothermia in Texas ." Carlos laughed "Shut up ." Tk laughed

Tk took him to all his favorite places his old station the place to get the best pizza Carlos's mind was blown by how good it was and the dim sum that he and his mom would go to

After a long day of venturing around New York, they were getting ready for bed when Carlos said something that Tk never thought he would hear "Hey I was um- I was thinking maybe we should start thinking about starting a family ." Carlos said

" what do you mean we have a family you me and Lou ." Tk smiled coming from brushing his teeth
"I was thinking maybe adding a human child to the mix," Carlos said looking at Tk

"Are you serious ?" Tk asked looking confused "Carlos you know I'm fine if we don't have kids -" Tk said

"I know before it wasn't that I didn't wanna be a dad it was because I didn't know if I would ever be ready to and I've been feeling more ready lately.."

"And seeing you with your brother how gentle you are with him - I think we are ready," Carlos said Tk gave him a big hug

"I love you ."Carlos said softly rubbing Tk's back " I love you ."Tk said
