Prompt (by me ) post honeymoon Tk and Carlos share a moment right before going to bed
It was Carlos's first day being back after his father's death and it was hard it was a 12-hour shift filled with calls and lots of arresting people
Tk's first day back was yesterday and Carlos hated it he hated being alone in their loft sitting at the table where he heard his father be shot and the cries of his mother as the bullet ripped through his father's chest
Carlos hated being alone at the loft and Tk was the only one who could truly fix that when he left for work today he was happy to be back doing the job he loved but it seemed that the day was meant to go to shit because crappy call after another came in and it seemed like everywhere he went he saw a Texas ranger
So when he finally slid his key in the slot shortly after 12:30 he felt relaxed he stepped through the door their bedroom doors were open so maybe Tk was still up but the thought quickly vanished when he heard a soft snore coming from their couch Carlos came closer
Tk was curled up in a ball underneath his throw soft snores coming every few seconds from he looked younger especially when he slept he curled himself in a ball his thrown blanket tucked to his chin how his finger rested right under his mouth
As much as Carlos wanted Tk to stay just like that he couldn't sleep on this couch Carlos slowly ran his fingers through Tk's hair "Baby.." Carlos said softly pushing back Tk's hair that had been disheveled all over his face "Buddy I'm home .." Carlos said softly as Tk leaned into the touch "Your home .." Tk said softly looking at Carlos " Yeah ." Carlos smiled " I was trying to wait up ." Tk mumbled playing with Carlos's ring on his finger " You did a great job baby ." Carlos couldn't help but laugh
"Long shift ?" Carlos asked softly bringing Tk's throw up on his shoulder "Yeah just tired ." Tk said, "How was yours ?" Tk said stroking Carlos's face " hard ." Carlos said honestly "Nonstop calls and then it felt like everywhere I went I saw a Texas ranger .." Carlos said
"I'm sorry baby ... that's tough." Tk said softly " I'm just glad to be home with you ." Carlos said softly "You didn't miss your son ." Tk teased "I missed you, Lou ."Carlos said softly "cmon let's get you to bed ." Carlos said
